Good food at a great price

We've eaten here for breakfast a few times, and have loved their biscuits and gravy. We had our first lunch yesterday, and we were so glad that it was as good as their morning meals! Hubby had country style (read breaded) whitefish that was hot, tender, and portioned well. I had the chicken... read more

I work within walking distance of Skooters. I walk over to eat lunch about once a month. They have just about anything you want as far as homestyle cooking. It is a small joint, nothing fancy. You seat yourself and the waitress takes your order and within 10 minutes, the food is there. I have had the chicken but usually... More

Skooter's is another Indy 500 tradition for my daughter and me for breakfast. They have a great variety on the menu and the servers are very nice and friendly. If you're looking for atmosphere, this isn't the place, but if you're looking for a good, down home diner, Skooter's is the place.

This is a great place for breakfast. They have a wonderful selection. Their specialty is broasted chicken that is very good. You can order a plate special with either two or three vegetables and the portions are good. This is a locals place, and tables are at a premium. If you are looking for upscale this is not the place.... More

This place is worth going to if you have $10-$11 on you (including tip). You can get filled up for that price and the broasted chicked with mashed potatoes and gravy are good. Other than that, it's not too spectacular but you basically get what you pay for: Decent food with solid service at a good price. People go back... More

Scooters is my go to place at least once a week! I have never had a bad meal there. My favorites are the chicken livers, chicken and noodles, broasted chicken and swiss steak. The waitresses have been there for eons and are so personable and fast. Food is homemade....just like Grandma's. The building is old and outdated but I don't... More

The food was good, reminds me of the old Mom & Pop places. It was not outstanding in decorations. Great variety on the menu and reasonable prices! This was my third time at this location. It beats fast food!

Skooters reminds me of a Waffle House with an enlarged menu. The seating in booths is very similar--hard and uncomfortable. It's a pretty basic restaurant, not a lot of grand decor. But the food was decent. I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy and pickled beets for about $6.50. The others had biscuits and sausage gravy and... More
