We visited this place in Chesterton Indiana, and were craving a pan pizza... we ordered a large cheese pan pizza.... it came out quite fast, and was DISGUSTING.... The dough was NOT cooked, it was still raw, and the bottom of the crust wasn't a crust - as it hadn't been cooked enough... it was DOUGH AND IT WAS DISGUSTING!... more
Gelsosomo's is a rather simple place...nothing fancy at all about it. That makes it a superb place to take friends and family to focus on what the restaurant does best, which is producing the best pizza around. Whether you like thin crust, thick crust, pan or stuffed pizza, this place always delivers. It's as good as anything I've had in... more
Chesteron Indiana ...Gelsosomos..June 14, 2008 My wife and I eat there at least twice a week. The pastas and the pizza are second to none. The half carafe of wine is a very good buy. The service is better than expected, especially if Tracey is your server. She is non-stop. For appitizers I suggest the sampler platter,(you get three choices).... more
After taking 140 minutes to make it thru a normally 50-minute drive, what a relief to get off at exit 26A of I-94 just east of Gary, IN, and finding this restaurant. The pizza was wonderful. We got a 1/2 BBQ chicken and 1/2 Mushroom/Onion and both halves were great and they put sauce across the top to show us... more
