Cozy restaurant with diverse selections. Main courses do not include salads and everything is on the high side for prices. Some problems with attentive wait staff but apologies were given even though not a particularly busy evening. We decided on salads & individual pizzas. The salads were outstanding & the pizzas were good although the amount of sausage was rather... More

I have been to Sage a number of times. I love the sage & cucumber martini and between the menu & specials, always have an excellent meal! Joe, the owner, is omnipresent and a great host!

Went here for our anniversary. Nice atmosphere, and very pleasant staff. Our meal was hit and miss. The good: arancini for the appetizer, nice bottle of wine at a reasonable price (Sage Pino Grigio), the roasted pistachio gelato and espresso for dessert. The misses: beet salad (only three small slivers of beet), salmon dinner (well cooked, but very pale and... More

This restaurant is a nice little surprise! Seemingly upscale, but our family of four was reassured that we weren't dressed too casually for them. The food was delicious, creative, and unique. And perhaps even better than the exquisite menu, our service was remarkable. Everyone was genuinely friendly--in a professional way, not a sickeningly sweet way. The only down side for... More

My husband found the place using Google maps while we were visiting the Dunes. We had a delicious, smooth glad of pino noir with a section of aged cheeses as an appetizer. He ordered the short rib ravioli which wad to Die for. The pasta was hand made and the cheese, stuffing smooth and flavorful. I had the seafood risotto which... More

A friend heard of this place so we decided to give it a try. Atmosphere was nice, service was very good - didn't bug us (we were chatting) but we didn't need to ask or wait for anything either. The bread (the size of a roll) was warm but rather tasteless. We tried 2 of the appetizers, the risotto balls... More

We came to Sage for a special treat, to celebrate our 31st anniversary. Because we are retired we like to have a main meal at midday and Sage has a nice selection of entrees as well as flatbread sandwiches and salads at this time of day. My husband had scallops and I chose chicken marsala. Both of us were delighted... More

Joe,the Chef and co-owner with his wife,Melissa have a great place to have dinner or lunch. Service is top notch. Ryan is always super attentive to the diners needs. Sage has added an outdoor patio for dining and we used it Saturday night. It was one of the first nights it was warm enough to eat outside. Normally my wife... More

A little out of the way but worth looking for. Not an every night place but great for a special dinner or entertaining. Food is consistently good as is the service. Joe is both creative in the kitchen and friendly greeting diners. We have been there 4 times and look forward to returning. I didn't mean to put terrible bar... More

Chef Joe always has a wonderful creation available for brunch, lunch or dinner. We have gone to Sage numerous times and have always been delighted in the food. This is by far my favorite place to eat in the Chesterton/Porter area. You can count of the food being fresh and delicious!
