Casual Italian in quaint location

Enjoyed patio seating and good Italian food. Nice wine list and good selection of beers and cocktails. If you sit outside be sure to go inside and see the antique oak bar and hand painted murals. Suggest calling for daily specials/discounts.

I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. The waitress was extremely nice and service was good also. I ordered lasagna with the marinara sauce and it was incredibly good & fresh tasting. My fiance had chicken parmesan. We would definitely go back! It was wonderful!

Four of us had dinner here. The food was fine, not spectacular but certainly fine. Good wine and beer selection. I am always a fan of locally run and operated restaurants and they do not disappoint here. Go ahead, give it a try...skip the chain restaurants that are taking over Chesterton (and the world).

We love coming here when we visit this area. Wait staff very friendly and food always good. We especially love the pizza with crumbled sausage and mushrooms. Pasta is great, good sauce. This is a really cute place lots of atmosphere and well taken care of, it is a must stop. You will enjoy your time here.

Having heard so much about this place decided to try it while I was in Chesterton shopping. The food was fairly good. I had a taste of lasagna ( which was not really hot.) chicken parmigiana which was good and a crepe stuffed with chicken Service could have been better. Only thing lacking was any kind of Italian or garlic... More

Food was okay...nothing outstanding, typical Italian food. The sangria was quite good. Really enjoyed it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, comfortable, with your typical Italian scenery (grape vineyards, etc) painted on the walls.

We were told this was an excellent restaurant by the attendant at our hotel. We were very disappointed. Atmosphere was nice, in a big old home with separate dining rooms. We ate inside because it was to warm outside. Our server was friendly enough but never brought the advertised fresh bread and oil (we asked after our meal was finished... More

We stopped at Popolanos while camping at the Dunes. We were seated on the deck outside. I ordered iced tea with diet sugar. The waitress set down a sugar holder with just real sugar. She disappeared so we looked on the other tables. Not a one. Another table was set and they were told there was no cream or artificial... More

MY wife and I had our wedding dinner here 2 years ago. We eat here on our anniversary and usually sit in same booth by huge painting in middle of back long wall by rear ramp exit. They always treat us special. The Italian bus tour gives a choice of 3 of 5 main dishes. All authentic Italian food.Very romantic... More
