Wonderful Lunch/Brunch and Great Service!

Went with no expectations and had their special-of-the-day omelet with caramel apple slices, bacon, etc., with a side of fresh-steamed kale and spinach vs. the regular potatoes. Really, really GOOD. Service was completely appropriate - just right - not overkill. Looking forward to going back... read more

The garlic fries are awesome! If I had just gone in and ordered that and a couple craft beers it would have been all good. But I ordered a meal to go with it. Service was slow, and they made a weird comment. Kinda made me feel unwelcome. I'm not a rich snobby liberal, so maybe I'm really not welcome?... More

So, our friends come in from Chicago annually and really want to go to Farm since they had a great experience on a previous visit. We booked brunch reservations for 2/14- Valentine's Day. We arrived after the rush- about 1:30 pm, so the restaurant was only 1/2 full. We had a party of 8, our family of four, and their... More

So I give the farm 0 stars for consistency and -5 stars for customer service. When you have a signature item like bison sirloin steak for 32$ which is pretty much the same price at which you can get the best steak in town you get it right or you dont serve it at all and the last thing you... More

Excellent food. Just what we hoped it would be. I had the omelette of the day, they had two options, and I selected the Vegetarian. My husband selected The Indiana Benedict off the menu and I've seldom seen him enjoy a plate as much. Our server was a lovely young lady. Coffee even had 2 choices. We were lucky enough... More

Long wait. Delicious food. Gluten Free. I had the pork chop which was just a bit dry but still very, very tasty. We went on a Friday night without reservations, the restaurant appeared to be half empty and we were told we would need to wait 45 minutes for a table. It was extremely cold out and the other restaurants... More

We stopped in here for lunch one day after visiting the Wonder Lab children's museum because it was within walking distance. Beautifully plated entrees but weird combinations like lobster quesadillas. I get that the menu is always changing and they try to use local products but it just wasn't my style or type of food. I think it was overpriced.... More

Had brunch here on March 8, 2015. Made a reservation, and there were plenty of open tables, but wound up being seated right next to the door - had to leave coats on as cold air blew in whenever opened by exiting customers. Cute place - farm style decor (oak tables, wood chairs, geese, etc.) Two of us were dining.... More

This is a busy restaurant on Kirkwood in downtown Bloomington. We have dined here several times, always with a good meal. The menu changes frequently and ingredients are always fresh. Everything is good from the pork to the pizza to the salads. Highly recommended but get a reservation or you will have to wait for a table.

The Farm Restaurant offers menus that change daily and represent original thinking with an excellent array of fresh, interesting ingredients. The serving staff are knowledgeable about the wide-ranging offerings, which change also according to time of day. Having experienced both breakfast and dinner there, I was very impressed with both the quality and quantity of the food on the table,... More
