I love going to Irish Lion for the atmosphere, the food, and the service. I always feel relaxed at this restaurant. It's special. My favorite is Offaly Salmon. I should try more things on the menu but this is what I usually get. Fish and chips is great too. Salads are always fresh. Prices are reasonable for what you get.... More

The food was really good, I had the lamb stew on the soda bread bowl. The atmosphere is easy going but the interior is neat. Try the Irish moonshine if you're brave enough!

Good food, medium priced, wide selection of drinks, especially beer. Very popular place with old wood and stained glass with lots of steps up and down because the building is old.

A nice Irish Pub in a college town. The meal was excellent. The atmosphere is fun, and the menu offered a lot of great choices. I ordered the Filet Mignon the tenderloin topped with a fluted mushroom. served on a toasted english muffin bed, served with a baked potato, sour cream & butter. The portion sizes are large and the... More

Always a fantastic place to go. You must try the Coddle! However, all the food is wonderful! We always take out of towners here and they are always impressed.

I was in Bloomington on business and was recommended this restaurant. I had a GREAT fillet. It was cooked perfect and the blue cheese dressing was made in house and was one of the best I have ever had. I had three beers, salad, fillet and baked potato for $37 plus tip. Although I'm from Scottish decent, the loud music... More

The two of us finally made it back to the Irish Lion after 20 yrs or so. It hasn't changed much. Still a barrel of fun, great beer and whiskys to choose from. Friendly and happy servers galore. And one of the few places around you can still find a "yard" of beer. We visited on a Friday night before... More

This is a wonderful restaurant hidden on the west end of Kirkwood. Not quite sure how this Irish pub/restaurant started in Bloomington but it is a welcome change from sports bars and sandwich shops. The food is always good and there is ample variety. I had the lamp chops this time and they were excellent. If you are looking for... More
