That's right if you love Irish food this is THE place. Old Irish atmosphere and great wait staff. Food is good too! Especially the Chicken and fish. And the Irish soda bread is great.

Having just visited Ireland a few months ago, I decided to give this place a shot while in town for work. it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, very helpful staff and terrific food. I enjoyed their prime rib, cooked exactly as requested and a few pints at the beautiful bar. I certainly hop to return some day!

I love the Irish Lion. They can be pricey on some of their food items, but it this restaurant is about all things Irish. If your not big on Irish food and drinks or pay a few extra dollars for than this is not the place for you. I come here for my birthday every year. They have excellent corned... More

Just had lunch there; great chicken sandwich and fries. We eat here a couple of times a month. The upstairs party room is great for groups. The restaurant has nice outdoor seating in warm weather, and the restaurant's ambience is wonderful. Enjoy!

I had a gift card (admittedly a few years old) with over $20 left. I just consistently forgot to use it (we are Irish Lion regulars) well I remembered it today and apparently they got a new computer last year and I am out of luck. Not even a complimentary offer for desert (which I would have refused) but essentially.... More

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We will certainly honor your gift card, as we have and continue to do so with all "outstanding" gift cards. We can only assume you had a new staff member that neglected to check the outstanding gift card record or call the office. Please message your telephone number and a office... More

If you are fond of Irish food, Irish Beer and whiskey, or are just seeking something "Different", The Irish Lion is for you. I love Bloomington's food scene. It's a must-try City for foodies, and if you come here The Irish Lion is #1 on my must-try list. The Coddle Soup is fantastic!

We were seated promptly which was wonderful. The server was not unfriendly but had a fairly nonchalant attitude towards everything. The potato puff appetizers were tasteless without sour cream. My meal, however was pretty good! I got a salad with parm peppercorn ranch dressing and a traditional Irish soup with bacon which was wonderful! My husband's meal however left something... More

Thank you for your feedback. The Lamb Burger is not pre-made, but ground fresh in our kitchen and formed by hand with a patty mold for a consistent shape and size. The Lamb Burger, per the menu description is served with "fries" and not hand-cut. Linguistically, "chips" are the Irish equivalent to fries in the States. Slainte! More

The Manager is very polite and makes me feel special. The bartender with the beard is also very nice. The guys they have behind the bar are always exceptional in addition to being very handsome! I like that. Much more than having a meanie woman who is monosylabic. The drinks are strong. I am not a big drinker. But for... More

Everything is simple, real and tasty. All apetizers are real food, no junk. Love herring and potato puffballs. Soda bread is great! Good choise for everything from eating, drinking to real 1920s atmosphere.
