Trendy - pretentious

It was pretty good food. We've been there about 3-4 times with my son and daughter. It's a downtown bar in a college town. Service was good, food was good. It's a little dark, a little trendy and pretentious and a little over priced. Exactly what I THINK a pretentious 20 year old college STUDENT... read more

When my wife and I ate here it was a pretty slow night and we sat on the patio. Since there were not many diner I would have expected attentive service but that was not the case, it was average at best. My wife ordered the filet mignon and really enjoyed it. I ordered a New York Strip medium rare... More

Went for a date night with my lovely wife. The place was very busy as they were getting ready to close for the holiday, but the service was still amazing. The food was great as well, and the Irish Whisky the waiter recommended made it all the better.

With so many highly rated places in Bloomington it was hard choose on our first night in town. We decided to try Irish Lion any they delivered! My lamb chops were fantastic. My coworkers ordered steak and medallions. They both loved their meals. If hot sit in the lower back section and do not forget a Guinness.

Very interesting place. Loved the feel. Waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely recommend the Blarney Puffballs! There was a large party there, but still feel that our food came in a timely manner, especially for a Friday evening. Will be going back!

Coddle is a soup, and it's enough for a meal, especially when it is served in a bread bowl and is accompanied by a salad. Good choice of beers and ales on draft and in bottles.

Their blarney puffs are super as well as their Irish crab seafood dip. (I can't pronounce the Gaelic name for it. Also good pickled herring and wonderful Irish breads. Good lamb dishes available as well as Irish stew. I love the yard of ale glasses and to invite a friend who has never experienced the gurgle of the bottom of... More

I love going to Irish Lion for the atmosphere, the food, and the service. I always feel relaxed at this restaurant. It's special. My favorite is Offaly Salmon. I should try more things on the menu but this is what I usually get. Fish and chips is great too. Salads are always fresh. Prices are reasonable for what you get.... More

The food was really good, I had the lamb stew on the soda bread bowl. The atmosphere is easy going but the interior is neat. Try the Irish moonshine if you're brave enough!
