Great Sunday Breakfast

We went the the Spoon based on a recommendation from a couple different people and we weren't disappointed! This quirky little side street cafe was just what I was looking for in a good Sunday breakfast. The eating area in the front court yard was cozy and made the experience more enjoyable. I have heard of this place for years so during this visit to the area we decided to have breakfast here. It lives up to the great reviews and the great word of mouth reputation I have heard about. Staff friendly and attentive , food comes out quickly and food was excellent. My omelet was clean, not swimming in grease... More

This place is an institution in Bloomington. Been going there for years! I particularly love it for breakfast. The chef's omelet is huge, filling, and simply delicious. I always leave satisfied and happy I went there. It can be crowded at times so try to get there early before the crowd settles in, but the wait staff seem to do... More

Great place for breakfast! We were greeted with a smile and our meal was served promptly. Great selection of breakfast items including coffee and tea selections. The early morning special was just enough food and the Chai tea latte was delicious. Will be going back again for sure.

Orientation for Indiana University left us tired and hungry. We checked Trip Advisor and liked what we saw on the menu for The Runcible Spoon. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was fresh and nicely prepared. We were happy and comfortable and full! And the the bill came and we were still happy! I will be delighted... More

Love The Spoon. It's a cozy, warm, and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is always great. From the burger and steak to the full wonderful breakfast selections (served all day) you can't go wrong, not to mention the exquisite coffee and tea selection. Also the roast their own coffee there on site so if... More

This repurposed old house celebrating the Owl and the Pussy Cat* serves up interesting and quite tasty breakfast and lunch creations, including vegetarian -- particularly enjoyable on the rough hewn stone patio on a warm summer day. Just a block off Indiana University's fabulous campus, the little restaurant stands out among Bloomington's eclectic food offerings. *"The Owl and the Pussy... More

The spoon is located in a historic house, close to Kirkwood on a side street. Weather permitting you can eat out front in the garden or rooms inside, but one thing never changes, the excellent food. We have only been there for breakfast, but we go there on special days and have never been disappointed. A very unique and wonderful... More

What a great place, full of atmosphere and students full of excitement and enthusiasm. The staff was fast, friendly, and accommodating. I try to eat low-carbs, and the waiter made a great suggestion to assist me, without any annoyance at my special request. The food was fantastic. I had a cheese omelet with real Hollandaise on the side, and my... More

Good food, good service, it's not in my normal area I frequent so it's been a while since I was there. It's a kind of trendy place downtown Bloomington and reflects the area. A little pricey for the quantity of food you get but the quality was top notch. OC+
