We enjoyed breakfast at the runcible spoon and it was great! I liked the set up of the restaurant mad the charm that it had. The food was great, a bit spendy for the amount you got but still good tasting. Mimosas were fabulous and we will be heading back soon!!

Loved to food! Omelet with roast beef is excellent! Chocolate chip pancakes are wonderful too! So, why 4 stars? Slow service... It took us 35 minutes to get omelets and pancakes... Really guys? 35 minutes for breakfast?

Really, really good food prepared fresh in the kitchen. Sandwiches are immense and large enough to share. Can't wait to go back.

Nice little spot in great location. Front and back patio seating. Eggs Benedict was wonderful, hollandaise sauce was fresh and plentiful #13 open faced egg sandwich with mushrooms rocked. Food was very good and serve was friendly.

I'm not sure why we don't eat dinner here more often--we've enjoyed dinner when we've gone, but it's a favorite breakfast spot. The Spoon made it's debut in 1976 as Bloomington's first gourmet coffee shop. I can remember enjoying many a cup of Cafe Vienna and Blind Dave's Mocha as an undergrad and later grad student. The restaurant steadily has... More

Must go when you're in Bloomington. Good breakfast selection, outdoor seating is available. Got there on Monday morning and we got to our seats right away. Food came about 15mins later, and we left satisfied

Runcible looks like a well kept older house from the street... Beautiful garden in front with a few seats outside... Entering it has a restock wood panel rather dimly lit charm that chain places can't give ... The food is simple and in pretentious with good servers... Lots of coffee tea and beer choices... I will go back...

I have always loved "The Spoon." The food is great, the bacon is the best! Love the character of the place and the food is wonderful.

Walked up alone on a Sunday morning, took seating outside, no wait. There is a bit of natural shade and umbrellas on most of the tables. The stone work on the ground makes it a bit of work to get your chair to sit flat. Large menu to choose from, I asked for an omelet with 3 ingredients. Waited a... More

An eclectic restaurant front on 6th street, the Runcible Spoon was a delightful surprise. My wife and I ordered the braised pork tenderloin and the salmon. Not only were the meats wonderful, but so were the sides (potatoes and sautéed vegetable). With great selection of beer, wine, and coffee drinks, wonderful homey environment as well as great customer service, this... More
