The spoon is located in a historic house, close to Kirkwood on a side street. Weather permitting you can eat out front in the garden or rooms inside, but one thing never changes, the excellent food. We have only been there for breakfast, but we go there on special days and have never been disappointed. A very unique and wonderful... More

What a great place, full of atmosphere and students full of excitement and enthusiasm. The staff was fast, friendly, and accommodating. I try to eat low-carbs, and the waiter made a great suggestion to assist me, without any annoyance at my special request. The food was fantastic. I had a cheese omelet with real Hollandaise on the side, and my... More

Good food, good service, it's not in my normal area I frequent so it's been a while since I was there. It's a kind of trendy place downtown Bloomington and reflects the area. A little pricey for the quantity of food you get but the quality was top notch. OC+

My daughter and I had brunch here on a college visit weekend. So glad I checked out where to eat on Trip Advisor! We got in right before the Sunday rush. Had a nice table on the front porch. Breakfast was delicious, my daughter really liked her smoked salmon and croissant bennie and I had an egg round. We had... More

Runcible Spoon not only has one of the top twenty bathrooms in the country, per the travel channel and it is uber cool I might add, but I love their breakfasts when I want to take my kids and grandbears out to eat and catch up on life. Their omelets and potatoes always please, it's just a great non-chain place... More

This is a great place for weekend breakfast/brunch, but keep in mind that half of Bloomington probably had the same idea! I've only ever tried breakfast foods there, but have never been disappointed. Their corned beef hash is great- try the Bonne Femme omelet which has some inside! I'm also a big fan of the maple lattes.

Runcible is a Bloomington brunch classic. It gets really busy around peak breakfast hours but it also serves lunch and dinner so that's great! Their specialty coffees are delicious (I've had the mint mocha and the maple latte) and they come in a huge cup. Sometimes the portions seem a little same, the egg round for example definitely left me... More

Recently took my family who was visiting from out of town here for brunch. They enjoyed their meals and coffee in this quaint, cozy place. As for me, I got the eggs benedict and from reading previous posts I expected it to be a big portion of food. I was actually kind of disappointed that it wasn't big and even... More
