Graduation breakfast

Stopped for breakfast before commencement. I had a #3, husband had weekender and our daughter had the pancake (with scrambled eggs and more). Eggs were cooked nice but I thought their home fries were on the dry side. Sausage patties had a little spice which I like. We also enjoyed a pitcher... read more

A great dining experience, well prepared food, not fancy but delicious. If I had one 'complaint' the portions are HUGE but they will box up the leftovers.

We had a late brunch here today. There is nice outdoor seating and it was fairly busy. You could order breakfast or lunch. We all ordered something with salmon - I had the salmon salad, my niece had the salmon with smashed potatoes and vegetables, my sister had the smoked salmon. The smashed potatoes are skin-on mashed potatoes that were... More

This restaurant became my #1 reason for wanting to visit Bloomington. Matt O'Neill put together team meals for my swimmers which were the best we experienced in my 30 years of coaching. I never had a meal that I didn't enjoy whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A must for anyone visiting Bloomington.

We enjoyed our first breakfast at The Runcible Spoon and will definitely return. Loved their coffee! I had the Veggie Benni and it was delicious. The pancakes were also excellent and we splurged for the real maple syrup. We are always looking for places that serve breakfast all day and The Runcible Spoon was recommended by our local relatives. It... More

Loved the ambiance, the staff and especially the food - breakfast/brunch is my favorite meal of the day, and this menu had lots to choose from. I'm fussy about biscuits and gravy, and theirs was delicous. My daughter enjoyed her eggs benedict and her friends omelet looked delicious - thin, yet stuffed with good stuff. Giant bellini's and vegetarian options... More

Located in a building that was formerly a residence, Runcible Spoon is a lovingly decorated, quirky little place with a reputation for excellent breakfasts. We were greeted by the sticker that says they serve everybody, which is already a point in their favor. We had homemade corned beef hash, a "build your own omelette" with leaf spinach and mushrooms, and... More

Enjoyed hippy atmosphere and decor, plate-sized unadorned blueberry pancakes, large bowl of fresh (albeit expensive) fruit, and fresh egg, cheese and mushrooms on an English Muffin. Coffee was stale and refills hard to come by. With so many options in this college town, it's hard to see why anyone would rush back.

Has been an all time favorite of mine since moving to Btown 12 years ago. Always great locally grown food, wonderful coffee (roasted in house) and pleasant, efficient staff-- always a smile of welcome. Favorite coffee: blond mocha; breakfast: pancakes; lunch/dinner: salmon- My tastebuds always leave singing.

Young college students frequent this restaurant as it is on the Indiana University campus. Oddly enough a group of retirees choose this restaurant one day a year for their outing. It doesn't matter who is dining, everyone is treated to great food, attentive service, and a good time. The salmon entree is always great as are the sides; side salad...not... More
