I like the East Third St. locastion of this restaurant, instead of the N. College one, because parking is free and it has a lovely fireplace. The food is good with a lot of selections but the service is often slow. Also, they used to have other choices for sides - such as mandarin oranges. But now you can only... More

Great breakfast place. From egg sandwiches to scones to bagels, everything was delicious. Lovely gourmet teas. Hot or iced coffee. We were visiting IU and we went to the Bakehouse a few times for breakfast, afternoon coffee. Steady crowd. Always clean, welcoming and delicious. I plan to return to the Bakehouse.

The pumpkin cream cheese muffins are worth the trip, but everything I've had there was impressive. The coffee I had was a touch over-roasted, but this is a definite visit when I'm in town.

As a vegetarian, I find their options to be both limited and uninspired. The food is OK but not memorable, and it is pretty expensive. The placing of the menus inside the covers of books is, to be honest, just a wee bit precious. This place is just a smidge too pretentious and pleased with itself for my taste.

This was a nice place to grab a fresh croissant and coffee, or a more ambitious breakfast with eggs and hash. Friendly service; warm ambience and comfortable booths. We came here several times over any other choices for breakfast.

Right in the middle of town, on the corner, easy street parking. I was surprised by the Great menu selection. Many kinds of sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and well lit place to read and or do computer for WiFi is free and fast. Hamburgers and vegetarian burgers that are quite tasty. Friendly, quick, service. Lots of newspapers about to read, along... More

We've been here many times, for both breakfast and lunch. The options are plentiful, the food is excellent, with tasty somewhat unusual choices. Seating is easy to find with tables inside and out. Eggs are good, pastries luscious, sandwiches are creative. The only drawback is that it sometimes takes a bit of time to wait for your order to be... More
