Good food but overpriced

We were expecting a more traditional/ethnic feel to this restaurant. While there were traditional items on the menu, the restaurant was very packed and noisy limiting any ability to get a sense of atmosphere. The noise also made it difficult to talk with our dinner partners. I had a stuffed... read more

I went with high expectations, but was disappointed! The high point was that the quality and taste of the food was good. The BBQ ribs were tasty and fall off the bones. The steak was also good. Compared to the steakhouses we have been to, I would say that the food was somewhat overpriced. The service was hurried and rushed,... More

Janko's was a middle-of-the-road steakhouse. For the price we paid, I was expecting a more impressive ribeye. The meat was medium-rare as asked, but seemed to lack unique or memorable flavor. The meatballs were good, however.

This place has decent food but the prices are way too unreasonable. The service is hurried and chaotic. We ordered ribs as an appetizer and they came out cold. The restaurant preps their ribs far in advance, freezes them, and then puts them on the grill in foil and sauce when they're ordered. They did not leave the ribs on... More

I'm only leaving two stars because of the exemplary service we received during our last visit, and the meatballs, because even overpriced, they still rock. That's all I have good to say about this place. Overpriced, and sub par meat (sirloin for two). I simply don't get the glowing reviews, unless they are by people who either are schill reviewers,... The steaks are to die for here. All grilled over high heat in the open kitchen. Huge portions and great value. I come here every time I'm in town.

We were just passing through and Zagrebs was recommended. Great place, casual atmosphere, noisy, and lots of fun! Great server. She made it happen on one of their busy nights. Nice job. BTW: The T Bone is awesome!

Janko's always has the best steak in B-town. The service is always top knotch as well. The restaurant will be crowded and noisy, so be prepared for that.

Crowded, cramped and a bit hot. But who cares, the steak is unbelievable. Started with the meatball appetizer, excellent. Followed by a nice house salad. Baked potato was good, the Filet Mignon was outstanding. Cooked to perfection, flavor was great. Service is excellent

We went to eat steak and I truly believe we had the best steaks that we have ever eaten. I had the 'special' 18oz. bone-in ribeye and my wife had the 7oz. filet. They were seasoned well and were served medium, just as we had ordered them. The service was excellent and had no wait, with reservations. Reservations are recommended.... More
