Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict quite good

We really enjoyed the Uptown Cafe for breakfast although it was kind of pricey. The atmosphere was nice. I really liked the Smokes Salmon Eggs Benedict. Husband had #2 with andouille sausage and mom brother who is a picky eater loved the Popeyes omellette. Coffe was good and refills were plentiful... read more

We visited here for brunch on a Sunday. They don't take reservations, but if you call ahead they will put you on the wait list. This is a huge time saver. The Creme Brulee French Toast is highly recommended.

Nice variety of menu items. The food is above average and interesting. Nice specials. Not cheap, but reasonable. You can get out for under $20 each if you don't get the high end items. If I am taking someone from out of town and not sure what they like it is a great choice. Also nice for a special treat... More

Had a great dinner with some excellent wine. Menu was varied enough and not just Creole, which is the house speciality. I had a great crab cake, my wife's lamb chop was good but vegetables disappointing, steak was good. Desserts good. Lunch the next day was disappointing and service was poor due to lack of staff. Breakfast dishes looked good... More

The food is a mixture of a Midwest take on NOLA style cooking and a creative take on pub grub. I had a green chili burger, others in my group had French toast and an omelette. They were all tasty. The service was fine, not great, not bad, but fine. All that said, Good food, but the up-charge for the... More

While the food was pretty good and filling, it is on the pricier side of semi-casual dining. Decor inside was very nice and I enjoyed eating a rarer food style, Louisana/cajun(?).

Uptown is good and we take visitors to our department here often. It's pretty dependable and everyone can find something to eat off the menu. I wish the breakfast specials really changed like they used to so you'd look forward to going in to see what was on the board. What's written on the chalk board really is the menu... More

I've been here for both dinner and Sunday brunch, and both meals were great. I had crab cakes for dinner, and they were just as good as ones I've had on the East Coast. The malted belgian waffle I had for brunch was the best waffle I've ever had! It is a little pricey, but I think it's worth it.

Great lively feel in the evening, especially on weekends. Breakfast delicious! Many great dishes for lunch and dinner. Cornmeal pancakes and coffee cake are very good as is the Popeyes omelette. Crabcakes are a must as is the Thai chicken salad.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner are always winners. The expanded bar area opens the place up for all kinds of groups. Beer selection is good and the service is always good.
