Le Petit Cafe opens a window onto the B-line trail during the farmer's market. They sell crepes, quiche, sandwiches, and a variety of other simple to carry foods at an inexpensive price. When it is cooler (in the spring and fall) they sell truly excellent hot chocolate.

Unpretentious little French restaurant with good food, gracious service and reasonable prices. I ate lunch at Le Petit Café recently during a visit back to Bloomington. The lasagna on the buffet was very nice! The restaurant's atmosphere is just so relaxing and lovely. Marina, one of the owners and the chef, is sincerely charming and welcoming in the very best... Not only was the Black Forest cake very very mediocre, the price listed on the menu was $6.25 per slice, but we were charged after the fact $10 per slice. After asking the owner, he said he "raised the prices for graduation", even though it was still listed as $6.25 on the printed menu. This is criminal and we won't... More

Was hoping this little cafe would be a delight, but couldn't be more disappointed. We were anticipating "French cuisine" but received nothing more than basic diner food. I am a "good cook" so may be a little hard to please, but honestly this food was so basic it was embarrassing. Salad was just iceburg lettuce with tasteless dressing. Bread was... More

We have now been to this lovely bistro four times, and always delicious. We brought a party of 10 and the service, flawless. We had steak, chicken breast, pasta, crepes and salmon. Vegetarian and gluten free diets were accommodated. The bread and butter were very good as were the desserts! Chocolate mint was delicious! Very nice - sad others have... More

We were so disappointed in our meal at Le Petit! Everything was so bad, that we didn't know where to start to complain. It smelled bad when we arrived (mold, dirty socks, etc.) and we were told it was because one of the owners had been cleaning (it was not a cleaning product smell). Cheese puffs had yellow cheddar in... More

At some point in 2011 the owner admitted to (and was bragging on Facebook) charging two moms extra for dessert and drinks. The owner complained the mothers had children that were loud and overstayed their welcome. I will not support a local restaurant that has a owner that brags to overcharging moms. That is shameful and I hope you one... More

I used to go to the lunch buffet every weed during grad school. This restaurant is rough around the edges but the food is good enough to make Gordon Ramsey raise an eyebrow. The owners are the genuine article-French transplants. They treat you like family and serve you with big smiles. Do go!

Funky French restaurant with tasty country French food. Loved the tarragon chicken and enjoyed the leek asparagus soup. Charming waiter and even the cook came out to make sure we had everything we wanted. Good date night restaurant.

Unique menu every day of small, home cooked French cuisine. Obviously run by a retired couple who are sweet and excited as can be to come and chat with you about what you've chosen. A very fun foodie experience.
