Stopped by while visiting IU. OMG! Fantastic. I tried the "Key Lime Pie" with a graham cracker crumb topping. Absolutely delish!!

My family loved this place. And I believe it's been there for years. We went there twice during our recent visit to Bloomington, and it was just delicious.

Lines may be long at Chocolate Moose --- the wait is worth every moment. On our last visit to Bloomington, we brought home to Chicago 4 pints in a cooler. What a treat it has been! Chocolate Moose ought to sell their ice cream through outlets in other cities and states. Tastes so creamy. So full of rich flavor. Tastes... More

Immortalized in John Cougar Mellencamp's "Jack & Dianne" song, this is the place to go for bespoke ice cream. Seasonal specials available, just be careful they aren't closed for winter break.

I ordered the equivalent of a medium Blizzard and it was just under $7. That's about twice the price of the real one at DQ, and it wasn't as good. If I had tried others, I might have a different opinion, but that is my impression from my purchase.

We visited one afternoon on a recent visit to the in-laws. We tried a number of the homemade ice cream flavors. Everyone had to try everyone else's choices and we loved them all!

What can I say, there is always a line outside this small, but delicious and wonderful landmark in Bloomington. They have been around for years and always enjoy their ice cream!

Arrived at the Chocolate Moose and there was a very long line. Almost left but the staff has getting you through the line down to a science. Wait time was very minimal. I had their homemade ice cream which was super creamy. Hubby had their soft serve and he loved it. CM has a lot of options for your sweet... More

I can't for the life of me figure out why people keep coming here, my family included. But whatever. I think it's more about it being a B-town staple. Because it sure isn't for the quality.
