Not much to say here, really. It was just like the name suggests: darn good soup! I had a bowl of the gumbo, and it was delicious.

We've been to most every restaurant in Bloomington, and this is my absolute favorite casual stop for food in town. The soups are original and just plain delicious!!! They're a bit stingy on the bread--really my only complaint. Last time I got a cookie too and was very impressed. I'll miss this place when I leave Bloomington. Thanks for the... More

The soup here is the best in town. No frills interior, and a bit expensive for the portion, but the reason you come here is for delicious soup. And it does not disappoint!

My girlfriend and I frequently stop by Darn Good Soup, especially when their Facebook page posts a new or interesting style that we have not tried. I would recommend this place to any person travelling to Bloomington. There are meat, vegetarian and vegan options. From personal experience, the meat options are amazing. My boss (a vegetarian) swears by their vegetarian... More

Not ashamed to say this was the lunch choice for 2-3 times a week! Love all the options available every day, and that they are posted online at the beginning of each day. Only wish they had more available seating! Definitely recommend!

During a recent house-hunting trip to Bloomington with my daughter we visited three of Trip Advisor's top four rated restaurants in town. All were very good, but this is the only one I give five stars. Nothing fancy, no special atmosphere, just exceptionally good soups and stews. My daughter, a Panera soup fan, will be living near the square. This... More

The name says it all. They serve really good soup. I beleive they keep anywhere from 5-10 types of soup to choose from. I had the potato soup and my girlfriend had the tortilla soup. Both were unbelieveable. I would highly recommend having lunch here.

I was never disappointed buying soup from this place. Great variety of soups inspired from different parts of the world, consistently good quality and reasonable price. The African peanut chicken soup was one of the unique soups that I had. The menu changes regularly and it is updated on their website. Definitely worth a try if it is your first... More

Fantastic soups. Vegetarian and Vegan options. I had a lentil spinach soup which was delicious. Soups are piping hot and ready so there is no wait. There are tables for eating there or taking out. Great fresh bread with the soup. I plan to return to Darn Good Soup.

Third and last time I eat here. Each time, my husband and I appreciated the cheerful service and hearty portions, even if the interior is cheaply furnished and not terribly comfortable. And we also kept working through the menu to find a soup that was not over seasoned. Finally, on third visit we said to the chef, "we love you... More
