Especially enjoyed the hummus with the light, delicious pita shaped bread that tasted like phyllo dough and the red lentil soup. The baklava was a bit small for one portion but very tasty and light!

My wife and I went there to eat on a cold night and got stuffed with some of the best tasting food ever. Worth the trip. We are planning to being friends to eat here including a pilot who worked for the Turkish Embassy in the 1990s, should be fun!

Did the sit down in the couch area for something completely different....forgot to take my shoes off which I guess you're supposed to. Food was fabulous, had 2 "Pidas" (order the smalls...they are not what I would call small. A small salad sampler and lentil soup came with the meal! My Pidas were the eggplant/tomato and then a Feta, egg... More

Food was well prepared, service was somewhat slow but polite, very tasty variety to chose from. My favorite part of this restaurant was having the option of sitting on the floor on pillows and totally relaxing place.

We went here for lunch; it was a fun experience and the food was delicious. Large sitting area where patrons can sit on the rug around low tables, cozy booths, and regular tables. The turkish music (Tarkan and other performers) and small turkish supply store made this feel like the real thing. Service was also very good. We started with... More

My wife and I were taken to this restaurant as part of a food tour. We were served lentil soup, a cucumber salad, a cabbage salad, fried zucchini and a baked zucchini savory appetizer. Each and every dish was completely divine. The food was so good that my wife and I promised each other that we would visit here to... More

Okay - so I have lived in Bloomington for 14 years and sadly I had never experienced Turkuaz! Shame on me. I was going to order take out from Turkuaz for a small bachelorette dinner I am planning next month. My husband and I decided to make a date of it and order a few different "taste testing" options. I... More

This is my favorite restaurant in Bloomington. I love suggesting it to people who aren't foodies but still end up loving their pides (basically Turkish pizzas). Each meal comes with a soup and set of little salads--all amazing. The owner is also incredibly nice.

Tried this restaurant with local friends. The exterior was a bit warn and the interior a little off -putting (a spice/Turkish grocery just inside hidden by beads), but that all gave the place an authentic feel. The choice of appetizers was very good. - we ordered four and they were amazing. The hummous is served on light, crisp Phyllis triangles... More

A friend & I ate here prior to attending a play at IU. This restaurant & Turkish food was a first for both of us, and we loved it! Our server was more than happy to answer any questions, as well as offer recommendations on menu items. We never felt rushed to order, or hurry up to pay & leave... More
