We visited Turkuaz on a Sunday evening. We ordered the lamb sis-kebob and the rack of lamb. Both were tasty but not anything that would get me excited to come back for. They came with a cup of very good lentil soup, a salad plate, and plain tasteless white rice. The rice needed some sauce like au jus. Both entrees... More

My wife and I discovered Turquaz Cafe several years ago looking for an uncrowded restaurant during Bloomington's big Labor Day Art Fair. Although the restaurant has been through some changes during the ensuing years, it's still a great place to grab some delicious food at very reasonable prices. As you might surmise from the name, the focus of Turquaz Cafe... More

My daughter and son-in-lave love Turkuaz Cafe so much they ordered the food for their wedding reception from there even though it was on a pick-up basis. Turkuaz provided the serving pieces the night before. The newlyweds were extremely happy with the results. This has been their go-to restaurant in Bloomington for many years, and on their wedding day they... More

Never really experienced Turkish food but I know good food when I taste it. We stopped over during lunch and had the 8 dollar buffet. Wow! I can't tell you the names of everything we ate but there were fantastic meatballs along with a chicken dish that melted in your mouth. Yummy!!!

Especially enjoyed the hummus with the light, delicious pita shaped bread that tasted like phyllo dough and the red lentil soup. The baklava was a bit small for one portion but very tasty and light!

My wife and I went there to eat on a cold night and got stuffed with some of the best tasting food ever. Worth the trip. We are planning to being friends to eat here including a pilot who worked for the Turkish Embassy in the 1990s, should be fun!

Did the sit down in the couch area for something completely different....forgot to take my shoes off which I guess you're supposed to. Food was fabulous, had 2 "Pidas" (order the smalls...they are not what I would call small. A small salad sampler and lentil soup came with the meal! My Pidas were the eggplant/tomato and then a Feta, egg... More

Food was well prepared, service was somewhat slow but polite, very tasty variety to chose from. My favorite part of this restaurant was having the option of sitting on the floor on pillows and totally relaxing place.

We went here for lunch; it was a fun experience and the food was delicious. Large sitting area where patrons can sit on the rug around low tables, cozy booths, and regular tables. The turkish music (Tarkan and other performers) and small turkish supply store made this feel like the real thing. Service was also very good. We started with... More

My wife and I were taken to this restaurant as part of a food tour. We were served lentil soup, a cucumber salad, a cabbage salad, fried zucchini and a baked zucchini savory appetizer. Each and every dish was completely divine. The food was so good that my wife and I promised each other that we would visit here to... More
