Used to be one of my favorites in Bloomington, but not anymore

I would have given this a 5 star except the last 2 times I ate there, things were not as good. One of the times, they completely forgot to make my meal and the waiter did not even notice that he hadn't served me until I pointed it out. I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food while... read more

One of The Best places to eat in Bloomington. You should eat that delicious meat. They also serve us a soup that is very good.

My boyfriend traveled to Turkey about a year ago and had great things to say about the food, so when my mom and I saw this restaurant we were intrigued and thought we would give it a try. We chose the white bean soup (because we had lentil soup at a restaurant down the road earlier that day). It was... More

While visiting in Bloomington I was invited to have dinner with two couples. They had both been to this restaurant before and were looking forward to going. So I was waiting for something special. Out of six main courses the meat was very over cooked in four, one was close to overcooked and one was normal. The soup was noting... More

I've been to Anatolia several times and it's always great. For appetizers, we tried the babaganush. Delicious! Ask for more bread if you have more than three people in your party. Always, always get the red lentil soup to prevent food envy! For dinner, I usually get the lamb kabob which never disappoints. I also really enjoy the salad that... More

This is a place I have gone occasionally for years and always enjoyed. Big news: they just began doing a buffet lunch. I think this is a winning formula for bringing in lunch custom and helping that crowd get lunch in an hour. Good for business. That does not mean I always like the lunch buffet by any means. Often... I went with my daughter last night. Service is good, the food not so much. My daughter's "pida" was very good--in Italy it is called "pizza"-- and the lentil soup is noteworthy. However, my entree was disappointing. I ordered two skewers of kababs--one a mixture of ground beef and lamb, the other lamb chunks. These are served with a small... More

The waitress was probably the rudest I have ever encountered. When asked for water for the third time she yelled at my friend "Well, you're not going to get it soon, ok? I have a lot of tables right now!" After some time I had to stand up and get my water and missing food from the kitchen myself (at... More

Went here after a verbal recommendation from hotel staff. Wish I would have done what TRIPADVISOR had suggested and tried Turkuaz Cafe as well. I spent a year in Turkey and wanted to sample some of those flavors again. The actual taste was spot on but everything else fell behind. While dining I'm sure the college patrons wouldn't be bothered... More

If you have never had Turkish food, this is the stop you need to make. Have been a few times and always consistent. Various kebobs to choose from - delicious! Rice was excellent and baklava is very good. We sat in the front room that last time - pillows on the floor very authentic. Plenty of room for our party... More
