I expected fine dining, but instead got a long wait time, and below average food. I had a Cesar Salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was very tough frozen grilled chicken. And judging by the very limp lettuce, the salad had been made the day before. I definitely wont be going back. :(

We expected the Easter bruch buffet to be up to the standards of a fine restaurant. Instead, we Would have had better at a Golden Corral. Waitstaff was over-extended with a long waits to place orders and get check. Buffet, in a hall down a corridor from the main restaurant, was mediocre. Limited omelet ingedients, one guy with two pans... More

Visiting family in Bloomington, and sis in law made lunch reservations here. Not necessary as place nearly empty. Server sat us in nice dining room near fireplace. Small but adequate lunch menu. Had read reviews and tomato Gouda soup got raves. Sis in law ordered it and I had a taste-very good!!I had to have Italian wedding soup and it... More

With so many good restaurants to choose from, I can't imagine why anyone would drive all that way for bad service and frozen food. None of their entrees taste fresh. Get with it Chapman's, this is the 21st Century.

I love this place! It is a little pricey so we don't go every week but we do go fairly often. Parking is easy. The menu has a nice variety. The food is always prepared well. I have ordered dishes that I haven't cared for but they were exactly as described and done well just not to my taste. The... More

What a delightful surprise we had when we stopped here for breakfast when visiting our grandson at Indiana University in Bloomington. We immediately made reservations for dinner since it was homecoming weekend. Our dinners were as good as any four star New York or Chicago restaurant. The asparagus bruschetta was fabulous. Our tomato Gouda soup was superb. My entree, one... More

We had the pleasure of dining at Chapman's on Friday night September22nd. We were celebrating my son's twenty-first birthday with family and friends. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated by the hostess in the main dining room. Our waiter was wonderful, offering his recommendations and helpful suggestions on the amount and type of appetizers... More

The road signage for this restaurant would make you think that it is a Cracker Barrel in disguise. But the interior is lovely. They have a lovely dark wood bar and a very diverse cocktail selection. Friday nights are the best with live jazz music. This place should be packed on Fridays, but it's not. So take advantage of plenty... More
