Nice change of pace, a bit noisy

Had a great meal there on wednesday (half price wine night). Excellent salmon, very good pork tenderloin, though slightly overcooked. Best thing about this place are the sides -- grits cake, collards, cole slaw, cornbread, and all things Carolina. The menu is unique around here, bringing the... read more

We have dined at Sweet Grass several times while visiting our son and daughter-in-law in Bloomington. We have never been disappointed. The food is always great.

This is one of our weekly favorites. Indoor/Outdoor seating, located on the westside with ample parking. The menu is inspired by the chief’s North Carolina roots - Green Tomato BLT on Brioche Bun, Crab Mac & Cheese, melt in your mouth Cornbread, Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp Por’boy, Hamburger topped with Pimento Cheese, Mussels and more. There’s a full bar with... More

In all of my trips I had not heard of Sweet Grass until I had a friend tell me they eat they every time they are in town. We stopped by for lunch during the week and greatly enjoyed our meal. My wife had the Fried green tomato BLT and loved it. I had a Cheddar and Bacon hamburger while... More

This is my favorite place to eat in Bloomington. The staff is superb and actually remember you. They have my drink ready before they even come to the table. Not one bad item on the menu. Something for everyone. The clam chowder is the best! Forget the chain restaurants in town. GO HERE and you will NOT be disappointed.

One of my favorite places to eat in Bloomington. All dishes are well portioned and flavorful. The menu touts the flavors of North Carolina fare, and has many different options which will satisfy all types of appetites. Come hungry because they serve large portions at reasonable prices.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with friends. It had an up class southern barbeque feel. I had a fried green tomato BLT. Very good. I would definitely consider a return next time I was in the Bloomington area.

I like the food but b/c it's usually freezing in there and the prices are high, I don't go too often. Anyway, we asked to be seated outside, but noticed they weren't any umbrellas anymore. She didn't seem to want to seat us out there and when I asked if there was any shade at all, she said only for... More

Surprised and delighted. The food was delicious, serving sizes ample, and the wait staff attentive. Plenty of wine and craft beer to choose from. Eat outside or in.
