Surprised and delighted. The food was delicious, serving sizes ample, and the wait staff attentive. Plenty of wine and craft beer to choose from. Eat outside or in.

I really did not enjoy my experience at Sweet Grass. This is NOT what southern food should taste like coming from someone who lives in Atlanta. First of all, it isn't even fresh! It's greasy and not seasoned well and everything does not have to be fried to be qualified as "southern food". The vegetables are terrible and there really... More

I'd been told this was a nice place to eat, so I went here with a friend recently. It was fine, but nothing to rave about. We went on a cloudy day and the dining area seemed a bit dark, but luckily we were seated near a window. It wasn't busy when we were there, we saw two - maybe... More

My husband & I were in Brown County for a "mom & dad get away" and decided to go into Bloomington for a nice dinner. I have to be honest, I picked this place because they had risotto on the online menu but when we got there, the waitress informed us they no longer served it because it slowed their... More

I've been to Sweet Grass a number of times, and have been very pleased every single time. The service is very good, and the menu is diverse. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious!

We ate here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The restaurant is an awkward space, and the theme is incoherent. However the important factors such as the food and service were both good. The cojita cheese fries were incredible! We got a chicken sandwhich, a salad, and a burger. All of us enjoyed our food. The waitress... More

Stopped on the way home to grab a bite. Not looking for a huge meal, just a tasty treat. My wife and I split the burger and fries. It was called the Southern Belle Burger. OMG, it was YUMM-EE!! A nice combination of spices on a big juicy burger, with the habanero havarti cheese, marinated tomatoes, banana peppers, and lettuce.... More

We neglected to make reservations during a busy parents weekend at IU and knew it would be difficult to get seated anywhere in downtown Bloomington. Our hotel recommended Sweet Grass which is about 10 minutes from campus. We still had to wait for a table but not too long. The atmosphere is very nice although we did find it a... More

Sweetgrass is a pleasant restaurant getting mixed reviews. I think you will be served a good meal at a reasonably moderate price. If this is all you want to know, stop reading. Sweetgrass has come a long way since I went there several times years ago. But they may be having an identity crisis. They have done a great deal... More
