Old favorite under new ownership

From the time this originally opened, I was a fan. However, having eaten there recently and having noticed little changes, plus the addition of a Chinese menu to the original low country Carolina cooking theme it was founded on, it will take some time to convince me that it is still as good as it... read more

While looking for homes here in Bloomington due to a job relocation and being a lover of low country cuisine, my realtor took me here for lunch on a couple occasions and it quickly became a favorite of mine and my husbands. Sometimes service wasn't up to par but I blame that on management and lack of experience of the... More

I reviewed this restaurant before and it truly WAS just about our favorite place for lunch in B-town. But not any more; we won't be back. They have new owners and a new menu insert (Asian?) which doesn't blend well with the existing menu. Where does this fit with what is on their regular menu? I don't know, but I... More

Don't know where to begin. Our first time here, and this definitely is at the very top of my favorite places to eat. There are sooo many great choices on the menu, from the appetizers to desserts, it's hard to decide on what to get. We ordered the corn bread with bacon butter for an appetizer. You get this instead of... More

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times. The first visit was very good.. Attentive service and great food. The last two times the food was good but the service was very disappointing.. Server was inattentive and had a hard time even getting our check to pay...

I've been coming here since the beginning and now this is the end. I must ask...what happened? You sold the business and should have had the new owners change the name because they are really damaging the name and reputation of what was what I considered the best restaurant in Bloomington. Adding the inserted Szechuan menu to the original was... More

Great place for quality casual dining in a cool urban environment...never had a negative experience thru family dinners, business meetings, solo lunches, or a bar-side drink & sports watching!

My husband & ate have eaten at Sweetgrass many times since it's opening. In addition we have taken out of town guests to dine there. He and I stopped for a late lunch yesterday and were very disappointed with the experience. Our waitress was doing the best she could but something was going on the kitchen she had no control... So we made our first visit here today Monday October 5th and we went for lunch. In fact we got there a few minutes before they opened at 11am. We opted for patio seating since it was a nice fall day outside and we probably wont have too many of those left. It was a bit cool because that part... More

This is a lovely restaurant out of the main part of Bloomington. It is in a brick building off the main road and the complex houses some other establishments, so don't look for a stand alone restaurant. Pub/ bar feel inside with lots of wood and subdued lighting. The food was tasty....the shrimp tacos were excellent and everyone at the... More
