This is the very first restaurant we went to when we were looking to move to Woodstock, IL. Located just off the town square it felt inviting the moment we entered. The lunch menu has lots of tempting options and they have daily specials. They offer about five soups which are definitely homemade! I'm pretty sure on our first visit... More

This is always a great choice for dinner out. Lots of great choices of soups, sandwiches, dinner. Definitely try the Shrimp Diablo! Drinks are excellent as well.

Excellent food and atmosphere but slightly overpriced. Downstairs location can be a little gloomy on a bright, sunny day. Clientele is older and family oriented, so a good place to go for a business lunch or to have a respite from extremely hot weather or the winter! I LOVE the loaded Baked Potato Soup!!

We frequent this restaurant often and not only because of the great food but also because of the super staff staff and clean environment. We take friends family and clients here often. Try the fresh Mahi tacos and the spinach artichoke dip... Outstanding!!!

The baked potato soup here is reason enough to go back! Their salads are tasty, and the entrées and sandwiches varied and good

Agreed, freeways provide the quickest route from point A to B, however Interstate 94 from MN to Chicago or Milwaukee is boring at best. Try a back road, see what America has to offer! While housed in Mc Henry, IL for a wedding, we attended the grooms dinner in Woodstock, IL. This is vintage America, old time charm with country... More

There isn't anything outstanding about this restaurant. It's your average kind of eatery with decent food and decent service. Their vegetarian menu consists of a salad or two, maybe one pasta dish and a few appetizers. Apparently their soups are good, but I wouldn't know because out of the six soups they have daily, none of them are vegetarian. It... More

We went there for a late light lunch on a nice mid-week summer day. The Woodstock Public House is definitely a pub type place. It's located in the basement of one of the old buildings in the square of downtown Woodstock. This place has charm and character; its decor has lots of wood with traditional bar furniture. The staff is... More

We've visited a few time in the past six months, and each time our visit has been good but not quite great. Our food has run the gamut from just ok (steak sandwich, I'm looking at you) to exactly what we were looking for (really great spinach-artichoke dip). The beer selection is ok, but isn't terribly adventurous. We've left feeling... More

We were coming home from Lake Geneva and just wanted something to end a great day. We were so pleased with the food! I had the chicken tacos with spainish rice and my husband had the steak sandwich. Our waiter was great, the ambiance was relaxing. We will definitely go back.
