This restaurant is an excellent family Italian restaurant founded Mama Celeste of frozen pizza fame. Excellent selection of various authentic Italian dishes with a variety of sauces. The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent. Even as it has grown, it has a family feel. The food and wine were excellent. The cocktails were not very good. Everything... More

We are locals and go to Clara's at least once a month. The new location is nicer, but the food isn't as good as it was. Seems that portions are smaller, and the proportion of ingredients has changed so that you still might get a good portion of pasta - which is great - but the seafood, chicken, and veggies... More

This is a family-owned restaurant that has long been a stable in Woodridge. They make their own pasta and sauces and you can tell! The new location is very beautiful! Service is good, but cleanlinees can be improved on slightly. It is nothing that would keep me away, but if Clara's reads this...you could do a better job at washing... More

This is by far my families favorite Italian restaurant. We would frequent this establishment when we lived in Chicago, now we stop there for dinner or lunch when ever we are traveling in the area. You can't find better Italian in the area and the portions are so big you will have leftovers for lunch the next day. An absolute... More

We loved the old restaurant and of course with a bigger place the food sizes are smaller, quality, and service has gone down. My dinner appeared warm on the outside and was literally cold on the inside. It was like they took it out of the refrigerator and threw it in the oven to warm the outside. Could not get... More

We have always been a fan of the food at Clara's but the old dimly lit restaurant just didn't make it for us. The new place is much larger, brighter and more modern. The food continues to be excellent and the service excellent. We especially enjoy Wednesday and Thursday when their wine is half price.

We loved Clara's in their old location, and we still love Clara's in their new, expanded location down the street! Great atmosphere, great wait staff, and excellent food, from appetizers to dessert! Love the new space as it allows more space between tables, and large booths. Great Italian fare and good sized portions. My husband was disappointed they had no... More

I always went to Clara's for one particular menu item-personal size deep dish pizza. It is no longer on the menu-very disappointing. The new restaurant has a brick pizza oven and the new pizza is a thinner crust and bigger in size. It just tastes okay. The service was very good, but I will not be returning as they got... More

Clara's lost their ambiance when they got bigger. The other place was warm and cozy more family friendly. We were regular customers at the old place and we decided to try the new place. Just another typical restaurant. We came for the chicken Vesuvio. It was not as good as before. They used small red potatoes boiled them and put... More

We miss the old place. Poor Italian wine selection, but most of all it has lost the charm and family kitchen feel of the old place. Appetizers were bad but the pasta was good.
