We've been coming here for many years and have never had a bad experience. The food is remarkably consistent and good. This is a family style restaurant and not a high end "experiential" restaurant with faux and pretentious delicacies. It is always quite busy and the takeout business is brisk. Most of the sushi chefs aren't even Japanese, but they... More

Had a decent meal. Ordered a small bottle of sake. It sucked but didn't complain because it was my choice - tasted like lighter fluid. But the bottle was so cute. Poured out the remainder of its contents (which was most of it) into my water glass and put the empty bottle in our "doggie" bag to take home to... More

Let me start by saying my family loves this place. But my wife and kids do not know very good Japanese food. The staff is nice, it is clean, and no one gets sick. The food is okay for me but I am just turned off by the big taste of mush in the California roll, which traditionally includes three... More

I really love this place for their nice sushi. They make it at a sushi bar so I know it's all natural. The service is extremely fast and the longest I've ever had to wait was 10 minutes. Great place!

Always consistent with the product. I always have the Tuna Tataki, Spicy California Roll, Salad with Green Tea. My wife has the Teriyaki Sea Bass combo. Then I mooch off of her chocolate Ice cream since her meal comes with it. Great food, service and staff.

This place never dissappoints and they have the crowds to prove it. Try one of their generous lunch specials (3 rolls for $10) or one of their dinner specials. My go-to is sushi special #1 - crunchy california and shrimp tempura with a twist.

Probably one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. Incredibly fresh and delicious. Nice ambience, also great for takeout and delivery.

I've been here a few times for both lunch and dinner and it has always been very good. Today, I had the tuna bento box for lunch and the tuna was perfectly cooked - not dry at all. Portion size is excellent and the price is competitive with other Japanese restaurants in the area. The only drawback on this restaurant... More

Our return to Akai Hana was not disappointing. The vegetarian "healthy" bento box was quite good. The tempura udon was as expected. For someone with a smallish appetite, one of the $12 specials would be plenty.

Akai Hana is a wonderful choice for a family night out. The sushi is terrific (particularly their unique rolls) but what makes it even better than most local sushi places is that the menu is vast and varied. Our kids had many yummy choices (bento boxes generously heaped with delicious food) and the grandparents loved the teriyaki salmon. The service... More
