Excellent place. Good bar. Great tomatilla salsa. Awesome crime brûlée. Friendly staff. Not cheap for a local joint.
Not over the top but the make a good margarita and the food is good. We like the casual-ness. Sit outside. Nice lawn to have a beverage on if you have to wait.
The staff here is helpful, attentive, not pushy. We started with the chips and guacamole which I was eating with a fork when the chips were gone. Three of us had the tacos. They were great! This is one of my favorite places on the North Shore. It's a great space, with a nice simple menu with plenty of margarita options.
great variety of choices along with consistency and reasonable prices make this a go-to location when I cant think of something new to try.
Best margarita I've ever had! Fantastic tequila selection and knowledgeable bar staff. Prices were very reasonable.

Besides great food and seating on the huge wraparound terrace, the service is AWESOME. The staff is so incredibly attentive and friendly, too. Charles, John, Brian, Kyle, David & Nicki are fantastic... More
Depot Nuevo remains our favorite place to eat in Wilmette, even after several other good restaurants have opened recently within walking distance. The food is fresh and flavorful, the service is friendly and knowledgable, and the margaritas are fantastic. In the summer it's very nice to sit outside on the open or screened in porch, or sip a margarita on... More
Depot Nuevo is time-tested and shows Wilmette what's possible when a restaurant is run by experienced restauranteurs. Chips/salsa/water as soon as you sit down? Check. No quibbles about replacing drinks not to your liking? Check. Specials that truly change daily? Check. And all in a historic charming location. Food is really good. You can get something no matter your price... More
Probably out of 10 different south American restaurant from downtown Chicago to up north to Lake Forest, this is my favorite Central/South American dish. Absolutely perfect seasoning every single time for the past 5 years since I've start to come here. There variety of Magrietas are just so mouth watering not just summer, all year around.
