This is the place to go for seafood if your in the Chicago area. It may be a bit of a drive from downtown but it will be well worth it. They start you off with their famous garlic rolls, Next try a cup or better yet a bowl of the clam chowder it is amazing. If you like oysters,... More

First of all, lobster is my dream food. And I've never had it better then right here. The restaurant is owned by the Bob Chinn himself. He's really loaded, and buys the Crab from Hawaii. That's also where he spends the winters.😊 But the quality of the seafood is unbeatable and the taste is just awesome. I'm a kid, so... More

We had a family birthday dinner at Chinn's last Sunday. This is one of the highest grossing restaurants (over $20 million annually) in the USA...for a good reason (Forbes says it's #1, two other ratings have them #3 and #7 in the country). Although the ambiance is very casual, to the extent that it's difficult to call it "ambiance," this... More

We were on vacation in the Chicago area. Family took us out to this place. It was great. My wife had a fish from Hawaii never heard of it before but she it was like taking her palate to the spa. I had the rib eye. One of the best I ever had. All 8 of us licked our plates... More

Visited on July 26th. Had wonderful experience. Never eaten such crabs elsewhere. Shrimps & crab cakes also tasty. Nice for family dinner. Costly but, worth it.

Good selection of fresh fish. Building in real need of refreshing, setting makes it hard to justify prices.

Had dinner there last night... food was great as usual and Debbie, our server more that went out of her way to make sure that we had good dining esperience! I have been there many times, don't miss out on the garlick roll, I love the Swordfish steak and even though this is the best fish place all over, the... More

Went with a large party this past Saturday, all meals were excellent from Sushi, Grouper, Shrimp to Stone Craps. A very busy restaurant, reservations recommended especially for large parties. My first visit but others had been their many times over the years. We had an excellent server very attentive without being intrusive, garlic rolls were wonderful. Noisy though given the... More

Always a great meal. Not cheap. Not an impressive wine selection or romantic atmosphere but Garlic rolls not to be missed and best fish choices anywhere

I had been to Bob Chinn's years ago and remembered it fondly. This experience was no so wonderful! The restaurant is huge and loud with multiple lines to stand in to get seated. The crab leg entree we ordered was $70 - the crab we received was lukewarm and bland. We also ordered scallops which I would also characterize as... More
