Good crab house

Stopped here while in town on business. This is a good crab house. the crab legs I had were probably some of the best, most tender and sweet. the steak was thin and chewy, if they would take care of their steaks like they do their crab legs this would get a higher rating. if you are hungry for... read more

For the past 25 years my wife and I have had dinner at Bob Chinn's several times a year, typically having the same meal. She has always had excellent lobster, but over my past two visits, my Macadamia Sea bass has been half raw... I think that as Chinn has posted more celebrity pictures, his quality control has tanked. He... More

Luv the crab legs at Master Chinns. They are always yummy as are all of the other fresh catch options. The Mai Tais are tasty as are the garlic rolls they bring before dinner

We have been stopping at Chinns Crab House for many years either on our way to O'Hare or on the way home to Wisconsin. The seafood can't be beat in The Midwest, the service is always great, and we are usually there at quiet times of the day so there is no wait. The decore is a bit aged, but... More

The General Manager of the Wyndham Glenview Suites recommended this restaurant to me while I was staying there. Great Food, Great service. I felt a little rushed, they seemed to have a lot of guests waiting to be seated to what looked like a mile long line, but the food and service was outstanding! I am looking forward to another... We love this place. No matter what we order is fabulous. Yes it's expensive but you get what you paid for. Super super fresh seafood. Plus their steaks melt in your mouth. This is not a once a week spot but a special occasion venue.

I live 4 hours away and I used to go to Bob Chinn's when I went to the Wheeling area. This used to be a hip- happening seafood place in the 80's and 90's......but Bob has retired and the kids are running it.....they did not seem happy ( probably wasn't their dream to own a restaurant) I do not think... This was my first time attending this restaurant! I had heard soooo many great things about the food! From my coworkers! So I had to try it! I must say! I thought red lobster biscuits were the best! But I think bob chins biscuits are right up there as well! But shhhh this will be our little secret! I ordered... More

I grew up in the area and have been to Bob Chinn's many times over the years and thought it a great seafood place. But having moved away from the area and experienced seafood from the mid-Atlantic region my opinion has changed. My wife, mother, and I went there for dinner recently. We ordered oysters...very bland. I ordered a sushi... More

If you really have the urge for seafood, and especially crab legs, there are few places better than Bob Chinn's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Though sometimes the restaurant can get a bit crowded, and, admittedly, it is a little pricier - it is worth the dining experience if you are in the norther suburbs. Great choice!
