Great Food but Pricey

I went there recently with a large group for someone's birthday and we all had a fantastic time. Service was excellent and food was wonderful. After looking at prices, I could only afford the salad bar but everything on it was fresh so I was happy. Table ordered lots of wonderful appetizers so... read more

i've lived in chicago all my life, 33ish years, and this was the first time i'd gone to Bob's Chin. The place was packed! rightfully so, it ended up being very delicious. Even though we had reservations we still had to wait, thankfully Bob planned ahead and set up a mai tai station in the waiting area. Thanks, Bob. you're... More

Bob Chin's has been a staple of the wheeling area and good seafood for many years. After two recent visits it appears they are living on past glory rather than current ambiance and fare. We arrived about 6 pm on a weekday as a good sized party of folks and waited in the lounge. Good cocktails and a friendly bartender.... More

First let me say that the service was excellent! Friendly, prompt, accommodating. Jim our waiter has a ready smile and when my brother in law who has had a stroke was having difficulty making a choice, Jim stepped in, asked him what he liked in particular and pointed out the dishes that contained shrimp to help him narrow it down.... I've eaten there many times: as a couple, as a family, with friends, and even alone. I just love this place. The seafood choices and preparation are extraordinary. Yet the atmosphere is fun and casual: bibs to keep your clothes clean as you dig in, lots of paper towels and hand washing sinks all around.

Went here for dinner with friends and as many times before, we were blown away by the great food (every dish, every person) as well as the fun atmosphere. This place has been known for ages as "THE PLACE" to go to for seafood, but it also has great American & Italian dishes, too.

This was our second visit and once again we were not disappointed. We were seated quickly, had a great server, amazing food and great Mai Tai's. I don't eat a lot of seafood and found myself enjoying everything I had (scallops, lobster, fish and crab). We had a group of 8 people and everyone was satisfied with their meal and... More

I had an Asian fusion fish, which was delicious and my husband had his standard crab legs. The garlic butter rolls are great, as long as you all eat them! Mai Tai is standard drink faire and never disappoints. They have a casual atmosphere and many business dinners can be seen. Service staff is outstanding. My only qualm about the... More

It was three years since my last visit. I was not stoked to go. But family convinced me to go. So order Rockefeller oysters and raw oysters with some drinks. Wow forgot how dynamite the free bread was for an appetizer. Rockefeller oysters outstanding and raw oysters great. They were fresh because my mouth was tingling for the minor allergy... More
