This restaurant is in a somewhat run down strip mall and the decoration is minimal at best. 5 or 6 tables for sit down, i.e. avoid rush hour. Bring my family here for years and it has always been the same waitress and chiefs in the kitchen. The dishes' quality have been consistent through out the year; the portion has... More

Sometimes hard to decide what to order. English isn't their strong suite. Quick service. Need to pay in cash. Food flavors are good. Minimal decor.

Just a store front. BUT Steamed dumplings, Xiao lun bao, freshly made hand pulled noodles in beef soup. And in shredded pork and veg soup. For Chinese, this is HOME. For non-Chinese, a fabulous intro to Chinese comfy food especially in this cold weather. Yes, I bought their frozen ones to bring home. Three different types of dumpling. 50 each.... More

This little gem is in a grade D strip center. The place is perfectly dumpy and the moment you walk in you know you are in heaven. The fresh noodle soups, the dumplings, the bao's and the scallion pancakes are without compare. The traditional Chinese fare - not so much. It is my go to quick stop on the way... More

My brother and I bought carry out. My brother and wife and heard from other foodies that place was great; known for their dumplings and noodles. We ordered several different meals to try the dumplings, noodles and tofu. Wow! All the meals were amazing! The silky tofu was divine (Ma Po Tofu). On the menu it said it was spicy... More

The szechuan cold noodles are probably the best I have ever had. Others at our table thought that the vegetarian site ford noodles were "fantastic." We live in the near north Chicago suburbs and this place is hands down better than any place in Chinatown. Only negatives are : 1) they don't take credit cards, 2) they don't serve cold... More

This is a hole in the wall type of restaurant. You'll see Chinese people come here all the time so you know it's authentic. We've been coming here for several years. Each of our family member have a favorite dish. I always settle for the beef noodle soup. It's spicy that it opens my sinuses when I have a cold.... More

We heard of this place from their other restaurant Ed's Potsticker House. It's a tiny spot in a strip mall, and the staff isn't very fluent in English, but they are kind and helpful as can be. Definitely try the dumplings (boiled) and potstickers (fried) that come in different flavors such as beef/scallion and chicken/chive. We loved the Dan Dan... More

This restaurant specializes in Northern Chinese snack food. The noodles and dumplings are very good. They have a few small tables, but only good for a fast snack - not a place to host a dinner. Try some of the prepackaged cooked meals in the refrigerator. They are quite delicious. The founder is seldom there after opening a new full... More
