We have now driven there 3 times and never been disappointed. I've never been to Germany, but grew up in a German-American area and this is like the good German food I remember. One of our party grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch area and she felt right at home here. One person ordered hasenpfeffer and couldn't get it--they said it... More

Food is always excelent. I have been to many good German Restaurants and have been to Germany several times. Can't say that I have ever experienceed more authentic food anywhere else in the states. Food is always great, the owners come out to greet and meet their guests. Great Place we eat there often.

I took my parents there when they came to visit me last time. I had read the reviews... After I ate there I decided that anyone who rates it at all favorably has certainly never been to Germany. It was just not good. I got Jäger schnitzel, and it was just an americanized version of something resembling a thin veal... More

If you like authentic German food, you might like this place. It is a nice drive in the country. The red cabbage and potato cakes are very good.

Extremely friendly staff. Dreamland has an excellent menu. If you don't care for german food they also have steak, seafood, etc.

The Dreamland Palace is in the middle of nowhere, trust me it adds to the charm. My wife and I pulled in on a very busy night, one we were unsure that a table would be available (too indecisive to make reservations). Mike, the owner, came out and greeted us and welcomed us straight to a table. The place is... More

I ate here with family on a Sunday afternoon. I had purchased a Groupon for this restaurant , since I had heard of it but had never gone there. Service was very good as was the food. I had the alpensnitzel, the snitzel was excellent, but I found the spatzel to be too floury and doughy. My wife had the... More

Authentic German food, and great desserts too. They serve full German dinners from saurbraten to schnitzels. Soup and salad bar comes with the dinners. Wine is very reasonable priced if you like that with your meal. They also have good line of desserts to end the meal with.

I've eaten at Dreamland Palace, an authentic German restaurant near Waterloo, IL, several times and have always been very happy with the food and disappointed with the slow service. This visit everything was GREAT! Our waiter was friendly without being in our faces. The food, as always, was fantastic and incresdibly inexpensive. The German beer was wonderful! Highly recommended if... More

Our party dined at Dreamland for the 5th or 6th time. Whenever we get a sauerbraten or schnitzel urge, there is only one place to go in the Metro St. Louis area, and that is Dreamland. What a wonderful charming if a bit kitchy restaurant. I would hate to dust all the knick knacks on the bar and in the... More
