I was kind of disappointed after reading the reviews. I was there in a fairly big group & we all thought the good was ok, not great. The biggest hit were the Wings. Everything else was average & not really worth the long wait. It was a nice bar to sit in & watch sports on the TVs.

Nothing fancy, but a better than average pub. Sandwiches were delicious and definitely hand crafted. Good value.

I was going to leave because the atmosphere is bland. Ordered a hamburger and was pleasantly surprised at the quantity and yumminess of it.

When I moved to the Midwest, I heard people rave about restaurants based on potions and price. Those points move Skoogs to the top,of the line. We were there on an extremely busy weekend and were impressed with the prices and quality of food. The chicken is outstanding and the beer was great! Go! A slice!

We were recommend to come here by the Illinois River Winery. We simply wanted a sandwich and a beer. Skoogs was very comfortable and the service was friendly. My husband and I shared a delicious chicken sandwich and enjoyed our brews. The only thing I noticed is we had different toppings on our sandwich. We ordered the special which was... More

We only have a few restaurants we return to when the neighbors get together & Skoogs is on our list of places to go. We always have a great meal & they have accommodated us with a large crowd & without a reservation. We always enjoy our meal here

My review title reflects the name of one of the barkeep's concoctions on the menu; a mix of fruit juices and vodka and very yummy. I went with a group of adults, children and babies. The waitstaff was helpful in arranging for our large group. The surprising thing to me was being asked if we had reservations when we walked... More

A fantastic atmosphere… warm and inviting… great wait staff and cooks. A terrific place to have a quiet evening alone with someone special or a small gathering of friends. The meat selection was terrific and if you want… you can even cook your meat selection yourself on a tremendous grill in the restaurant or the cooks will also do it... More
