My favorite restaurant. I always choose this for special occasions. Awesome food. Fun atmosphere. Great waitstaff. We always ask for Milo if she is working.

My guests from other country had a list of restaurants they wanted to try while in Chicago . One of it was Hamada. The hostess will ask you if you want sushi or hibachi. We chose hibachi. Food was good. Service was better. Cook was great. But compared to other restaurant with the same kind of food this one is... More

Great food fun atmosphere. Waitress was great and cook was fabulous. Would return again! Went there for birthday. Drinks were good and they gave plenty of food per course

If you like Asian fusion or Bistro kind of food, check this place out. Nicely appointed dining room and variety of choice. Good quality.

I will NEVER go to this @hamadas of Japan in Tinley Park AGAIN! The owner Jack Chang is rude and nasty! He yelled at me and when I responded back he got upset and told us to leave his restaurant. In the process he threatened my husband and his mother began cursing at my family in front of my children.... More

Having eaten at Hamada of Japan in Tinley Park on several family occasions, I was quite distressed to see a flood of poor reviews on the service. I am not disputing the observations of others, but I am happy to say we gave them a chance tonight and the service was excellent as was the food. Attentive, polite, nice receptionist,... More

We had dinner here to celebrate two family members' birthdays. The food was delicious and PLENTIFUL! We all took some home. The chefs cook at the table and it was thoroughly entertaining! We spent about $35 per person, not including the tip. Fun for all ages! My only complaint was minor--they don't give you knives, just forks.

We came in a large group for a grand niece's graduation celebration & we filled a large table around a hibachi grill. The restaurant is big & was filled, doing great business... Lots of delicious food & all cooked by a performing chef on the grill. We ordered the large combinations & had too much food (didn't realize you could... More

I really like this restaurant. I usually go at lunch time. The prices are lower and you still get the entertainment at the table. I like sharing a table with strangers, most are very friendly. My only complaint is not really a complaint. The portions are huge. I usually take home enough for two or three more meals.

This place has a great ambiance. The dinner is served Japanese Hibachi Style so if you don't want to sit with people you don't know don't go here. The drinks are good. It is clean, the food is fresh, and the cook puts on a show to entertain you. I saw a family that wanted a table by themselves but... More
