A Favorite in Sycamore

We always enjoy Taxco. Love the "pimp" my margarita option. It is so much fun creating your own flavors. The chicken tacos are great and I love this dish with steak, peppers, onions and cheese. Sorry I can't remember the name of it. Every time we are in Sycamore visiting family, we try to make... read more

This place was fun and affordable, and I really liked the open windows! Being from San Diego, I have been in search of a place that had authentic Mexican cuisine, and I think I've found it! The chips were good and salty, and the soup was so authentic I had to cut the chicken on a plate and put it... More

We've been coming here for years both for eat-in and take out. The fresh table-side guacamole is incredible. We've had a majority of the menu but my favorites are the tamales and cecina tacos...great quality meat; no grizzle. My husband gets the Burro el Dorado every time and it does not disappoint!

The premium Margareta was so sweet I had to ask for 7 up to mix in it. It was still nasty and sweet. The steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas wasn't seasoned with anything, was so blah that I used salt and I don't salt anything! The servers were nice but not worth going bk when we have better, closer to... More

I guess Mexican food is all the same - or is it? This food is very good but when you live in California and go to the Mexican hole in the walls where no one speaks English - well that food is not Americanized. Example: in Lompoc there is a hole in the wall with El Pastor. It was made... More

Everyone in town loves this place! The food, prices and service are all great. They make their own torillas right in the window and you can have them come to your table to make fresh guacamole.

I ordered Papas Don Rajas as it is vegan. Potatoes sautéed with onions and jalapeños. Good flavor, however it could have used some more spice as the jalapeños were not spicy. Evidently no seeds. The Negra Modelo beer is my favorite Mexican beer. There were other vegan options which will entice me back. The table was inside the building but... More

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Awesome margaritas-try the pineapple jalapeno. I love the salsa. If you like guacamole, you'll love theirs-they make it tableside!

If you like authentic Mexican food, this is a must-stop! One of the best restaurants in the area! Ownership and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Great margaritas and beer selection.
