This place is excellent. Yes, it's expensive. It's a Bib Gourmand rated restaurant. It's sophisticated. The cocktails are $10, yes, but they are hand crafted cocktails! It's not a crappy whiskey and coke. They are as thoughtfully prepared as the food... AND AMAZING! Plus, the level of attention you get from the bartenders is top notch. They always remember who... Vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, family friendly. Interesting wine and cocktail list. My husband and I had a great meal here with our 10-year-old son. We had watercress salad, fried poblano stuffed with goat cheese, a Latin take on a crab cake, a pork chop with greens and sweet potato, octopus and chocolate cake to finish. All the dishes were good.

The place is located in the downtown area but there is a nearby municipal public parking that is free after 6 PM. The place is popular so reservation is highly recommended. While the atmosphere is cozy, it can be noisy. The server is knowledgeable of the menu so she was helpful when we placed the orders. We were a group... More

A great place to try once! Food was good but their breakfast brunch is a la carte. Very expensive. Coffee was not good. Had cinnamon in it. She said she would make american coffee but it took over 20 minutes. Too expensive and food not exceptional!!

The place looks nice and cozy. We were seated right away. Service is friendly and polite. We love the food. But I think it is overpriced. The portions are small so we had to order to dishes each. One drink is $10.00. Just one thing about service. The waiter brought our check together with the dessert. That was a little... More

I wasn't expecting something of this quality in downtown Skokie. The wonderful staff was able to answer our many questions about the cuisine and helped to make our visit a memorable one. The food was great and prepared perfectly. Definitely a place that I would recommend to friends (especially if they invite me to go with them)!

Located in Downtown Skokie, the Libertad is an exquisite delight. The aroma and the staff collaborate to provide a delightful experience. Sunday brunch features a fusion of cuisine from America And Mexico that delights the palate. I had the Crab Benedict and will order again. Try the liquados (fruit based shakes)! The French toast is top notch.

The service was even better than the food. We ordered the poblano. Good. The Crabcake was tasty. The steak Asada was unbelievable. The chocolate molten cake was a great finish. Enjoyed conversing with Nora and Lizzette. Very funny. Not cheap so eat slowly...
