This restaurant looked to be very interesting from the reviews and we went on a nice Friday for lunch, hoping to sit on the patio that is talked about. The place was closed and we were there between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. Considering that it supposedly is open on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., you may want to... More

Cocktails are fun and delicious.

Libertad is so amazing. I have been several times and each time I am amazed at the food, presentation and service. If you like fu-fu drinks, they have a ton and they are all really delicious. The hummus and the bread that comes with it, is amazing. The scallops, steak, octopus, everything is so good. Make reservations well in advance.... More

This restaurant deserves six stars! The first thing to say is that this restaurant should be in Chicago, not Skokie, but I'm glad it's here and convenient for us suburbanites. The menu and drinks are well thought out, well prepared, and unique. Our group had five ladies, all over 50, and we loved everything we ate. We shared two salads,... More

Wonderful gem in Skokie---totally worth your time and visit! A tiny little restaurant with an open air cooking kitchen--Latin cuisine with a gourmet flair. Visit this Summer and enjoy the back patio while tasting delicious freshly made entrees. Brunch on Sunday is fantastic--but their dinner entrees are worth coming back for anytime. Wonderful service. Dedicated culinary crew. Incredible reviews and... More

Outstanding food with the owner/chef creating interesting takes on dishes that could be very ordinary. Biggest problem is the size of the restaurant - it is quite small. Quality of the menu is first rate. Probably above and beyond what you might expect in Skokie., but there it is. The good news is you can usually find street parking.

Very enjoyable dining experience. Hard to believe it's in Skokie. Need a reservation as its a small venue. Always crowded, gives it an upscale city like vibe. Small plates shareable and really good. Cocktails are creative.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening, since we were in the neighborhood, and found it on the map, with good reviews. The food was great, and so were the drinks. The server was quick and polite. We had a table on a small cozy patio, it felt almost home-like. The dinner, however, was quite expensive, more than we... More

I went here a few days ago for dinner for the first time and it was really outstanding. A complementary amuse bouche of a light creamy corn and serrano pepper soup was a nice introduction. We tried the aguacate salad, chipotle hummus, octopus, scallops, and 2 asadas for a total of 3 adults. The one salad was plenty for the... More

....because then everyone will be there and we will never get a reservation! Libertad is wonderful-small plates, so three are good for a couple. Try the perfectly seared scallops over black rice in a beurre blanc sauce infused with yuzu and habanero, the octopus with fried chick peas, the perfect carne asada, tender duck and great cocktails. Service is very... More
