The place looks nice and cozy. We were seated right away. Service is friendly and polite. We love the food. But I think it is overpriced. The portions are small so we had to order to dishes each. One drink is $10.00. Just one thing about service. The waiter brought our check together with the dessert. That was a little... More

I wasn't expecting something of this quality in downtown Skokie. The wonderful staff was able to answer our many questions about the cuisine and helped to make our visit a memorable one. The food was great and prepared perfectly. Definitely a place that I would recommend to friends (especially if they invite me to go with them)!

Food is all fantastic, from the appetizer, to the main course, to the desert. Always unique and flavorful.

Located in Downtown Skokie, the Libertad is an exquisite delight. The aroma and the staff collaborate to provide a delightful experience. Sunday brunch features a fusion of cuisine from America And Mexico that delights the palate. I had the Crab Benedict and will order again. Try the liquados (fruit based shakes)! The French toast is top notch.

The service was even better than the food. We ordered the poblano. Good. The Crabcake was tasty. The steak Asada was unbelievable. The chocolate molten cake was a great finish. Enjoyed conversing with Nora and Lizzette. Very funny. Not cheap so eat slowly...

The food was amazing,so good. Expensive. Loud atmosphere. Not a place for children. Tables very close to each other.Outdoor patio faces an alley. We sat next to a group of loud wine drinking women.Very hard to talk over them because of how loud they were.

So having learned they serve brunch on Sundays I just had to try it! Great prices. So, having been here several times already with friends, I can recommend quite a few tasty selections: Crab Benedict - rich, fresh, scrumptious, probably my favorite, with rich tasty potatoes. Skirt steak & eggs - great chimichurri sauce. Pork Belly - their specialty, decadent... More

Met friends here for dinner on THEIR Friends recommendation and a great recommendation it was. We were started out with a Pumpkin soup that I would love the recipe for. Had the best Humus and Chicken & Brussel Sprout dish ever. Many of the dishes had a seasonal take on them - the menu changes with the seasons. Service was... More

I don't regularly eat octopus because its takes a lot of skill to prepare. It's all timing. Overcooked and it's gonna be tough as a leather. So, I had a light dinner here with a dear friend that dines here often. We ordered the Pulpo (Octopus with chorizo). We share this plate. The temperature was perfect. The presentation respectable. The... More

Like many other people we read the great reviews of Libertad, saw it on check please, and off we went last week. The good: pleasant neighborhood, easy parking, cozy room that got louder over time, very good service all around. But The wonderful smells of cooking when we entered eventually became an overpowering fusion fog. Not so good: reasonable attempts... More
