Great service, great food. Even better deli. If you are in Skokie and hungry it's a great place to eat. Bonus: all meals include free pickles and challah and rolls

Visiting from out of town, we've been here for breakfast, previously, and this week we went for lunch twice (eat-in and to-go). We both had a delicious bowl of chicken soup with matzoh balls. I had a double-decker sandwich (took 1/2 home). My husband ordered the julienne deli (a traditional julienne salad, but with salami in place of ham) --... More

This is a wonderful restaurant for traditional deli-style food. Please be advised that it is kosher style, but not certified kosher, as they do sell sandwiches with bacon. Portions are huge. You can't go wrong with a reuben sandwich. Potato salad is to die for. All deli sandwiches are wonderful. Soups are great, especially matza ball. Desserts are wonderful, but... More

In Chicago's shrinking Jewish and overall deli choices this is a gem . Menu, I doubt, never changed , I know I tried. They stick to the basics & unlike some in NYC, they accept credit cards. Just wish they would fly in pastrami ! Wait staff at Belmont & Broadway location are decades old excellent pros. Free parking in... More

I love this deli - authentic Jewish (but not kosher) food. Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches are great. Matzah Ball and Kreplach - wonderful. For some reason I always see someone I know when I go here. If you are in the mood for great deli, this is the place. Also, if you have a large group, they have a... More

Everything you used to have in a small local deli but spread out in a big restaurant in a popular mall with tons of parking. Large portions of everything--whether potato pancakes or the garlic-soaked pureed eggplant or your classic deli sandwiches with onion rings. Both tables and booths--lots of them. Food the way you remember it.

After visiting the nearby Illinois Holocaust Museum, I wanted to continue the Jewish experience with my granddaughter on our "history" date. The Bagel Restaurant was the perfect place to enjoy some Jewish style foods and continue the discussion of what we had seen. The menu offers all of the traditional items. I enjoyed Liver & Onions with a side of... More
