Excellent ambience, & service. Zach provided outstanding service, pleasurable & very informative regarding menu selection. It is the sum of all the parts that make this restaurant an outstanding hidden gem! Remember to finish your meal with their delicious gelato ....

A standard stop for lunch on the week end. Fabulous soups and yummy sandwiches anytime of the year. Come summer, we switch to salads in the garden out back. Great old building, with ambience and friendly service.

Wonderful little, cozy place to have lunch. A nice variety of different and unique sandwiches to choose from. Check out the book store that is attached to the restaurant either before or after lunch. The river is only a block away and is a great way to get a little fresh air and exercise.

Lunch at Town House Books and Cafe is delicious! The menu has a great selection of home made soups and sandwiches served on your choice of bread. Desserts are also home made and highly recommended!! Great spot for lunch.

Worth visiting for sure! We found this by accident visiting downtown St. Charles. One block North of main street and a block off the beaten path. They are only open 10 to 3 during the week (I believe they have a Sunday brunch but didn't catch the hours) We ordered the Sweet potato soup and split a Turkey/Gouda sandwich on... More

This is a lovely, quaint little place to have a delicious sandwich or hot bowl of soup.Their desserts are wonderful as well. I love that it's adjacent to a book store. While you are waiting for a table - which you likely will have to - you can browse the equally quaint bookstore.

This is my go-to place for books. The clerks know their stuff and offer helpful recommendations. I love doing business at a locally owned small business!

I love Town House for lunch. There is a delicious variety of sandwiches, including the turkey, havarti, and spinach on pumpernickel, as well as the apricot chicken salad. Fresh soups, salads, and quiches, too! After lunch, spend some time browsing around the book store, and check out the staff recommendations.

Met an author in the book store while waiting for our table. Bought his book and went in and had a great breakfast.
