This place is so unique. The décor is nostalgic and a book store is attached. When we arrived there were people sitting outside waiting for their table, but it took very little time for us to be called. Our waiter was informative and efficient. We really enjoined the lunch we ordered. The atmosphere is relaxing and casual. A terrific place... More

Town House Books and Cafe is a unique and wonderful place to revisit time and time again. The food is consistently excellent and the desserts are sublime. The Sunday brunch is a family favorite. Not to be missed!

Our son brought us to Saint Charles and surrounding areas for a day trip. We had morning tea at this cafe and returned later for lunch. The service was excellent and the desserts and other food were delicious. We were pleased to have found this little tucked away place. The prices were very reasonable too.

My wife and I really enjoyed the Sunday brunch. If the weather is nice, the patio makes this place even better.

Having read all of the great reviews on TA, I stopped in on a Saturday. The place was packed and I had to wait about 20 minutes before getting a table. The dinner room is small and is pretty close quarters when it is full. Once I was seated, service was pretty quick. The roast apple pork sandwich was so... More

We had a great lunch here. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was lovely. We ate in the outdoor courtyard and they even allowed our dogs to sit under the table. For an added bonus, you can browse in their bookstore that has real books.

Went to this restaurant with a buddy, his son and my son. It was recommended by my boss and I saw that it was #1 here. Got the "Lea's Grilled Cheese and it was awesome. Great mix of flavors. My son got a plain ham sandwich...also very good. Try sitting outside, it's delightful.

We have lived here for 2 years and just today discovered this place. Hidden a couple blocks off Main street, this place has a delicious lunch menu. I had the avocado melt which was tasty with a nice bowl of fruit. Soup for the baby. Grilled cheese for the 3 year old and a delicious sandwich for the vegetarian husband.... More
