This restaurant was amazing. Had lunch there with family members and the service was well above average. I highly recommend the Jerk Salmon Salad.

I have to give a big shout out to one of the bartenders. A lady named Jagoda. She was fabulous! I am very picky about what cocktails I will drink. Jagoda was so friendly and so great at what she does. She spent 30 seconds...asking me what my likes and dislikes were and whipped me up a personalized cocktail. It's the best drink I've ever had. She graciously helped me write up the recipe to make it back at home and gave me very helpful suggestions. It's now my go-to cocktail and I promised her I would take it home and call it "The Chicago-Jagoda". I have and it's a big hit with my friends and family! Jagoda is a true mixologist and so personable. She made my trip so memorable and I will always remember her kindness and willingness to go the extra mile!More

We are at this resturant for the 2nd time...while at the progressive motor cycle show here in Rosemont. We were fortunate enough to get a waiter we had a year ago. His name is Juan....he is the absolute best....made our dining experience once again......one to...remember Thank you again Juan. Al and Fran Ann Arbor, MichiganMore

Excellent food! My first visit here was with an old high school friend. Great choice as the menu had a little but for every taste. Plan on using the under roof parking directly across from the entrance. Don’t let the $29.50 fee scare you off....The restaurant will validate.More

I went alone to the restaurant one evening. My server was friendly and efficient, and the burger was good.

Nice place. Not a large drink selection but free drinks for reception hours is nice touch. Appetizers available and good chef.

Love this place. Come here every year for a convention. Carlos, Fernando, Juan, and Oscar are awesome at the bar. They always take really good care of me. Basil Burger is delicious. Some of the menu items could be improved but it is bar food...and priced as such. Who can complain about free happy hour every day. No need to leave the hotel. Basil's has you covered for food and drink.More

I normally never go down for social hour at Embassy Suites, but did tonight. The staff is very friendly and nice. I didn’t want much to eat so I debated even ordering. Finally I decided on a chicken ceasar wrap. It was drenched in salad...dressing (I opened it and used napkins to soak it up) and there was barely any lettuce, I opened both sides, took half the chicken away from one side and all the lettuce from the other and had a half of wrap. Was quite disappointed, maybe I’m weird but I want lettuce in a Ceasar SALAD wrap. Won’t do this again.More

In for work at the Convention center - still you need to grab some food - an option right across the street is Basil's Kitchen, here is why: - location - in the lobby of the Embassy Suites - so is basically a hotel restaurant....If you come by car a generous parking is available right outside. Good seating capacity, although it has a sign outside - "wait to be seated" - during lunch we just ignored it , there are so many seats available that... nevermind. You can sit at a table , sit at the bar or if you prefer high chairs at a table. - food - a decent selection of all time favorites like: sandwiches, burgers and salads. been eating here more times and I tried : burger - well done , with a slice of bacon and served with chips , tasty and not drowning in sauce , nicely balanced from my perspective. Cobb Salad with shrimps , another good choice - shrimp coming with a sauce on the side, so it went well together...and you get plenty. - service - through the week it was really good - except for one day when the waiter has brought out the separate bills as we were asking but he already included the tip but "forget" to mention to any of us... hence the overall low score on the service - beside this nice job, but because of the incident , the lower score. - prices - fairly good - not the cheapest but still alright. And they take credit card - we used Visa, MasterCard and AmEx, no issue with any of those. Overall good food, good prices, check your bill before adding any tip to it, it is a chance that is already included.More

No draft beer (shame) and the protein, be it meat or chicken is meh... Ok. But the Brussel sprouts are great. Friendly attentive service.

I see some reviews of the food that are not so great. I had a great experience. Burger was perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced. Staff treated me great and were "on top" of every need. Could not have been better. As for the "average...food" reviews, I think you have to keep in mind it's a hotel restaurant and bar. It's exactly what I would expect and a great value. If you're staying at the hotel, don't be afraid to try out this place. It's not gourmet food and isn't touted as such. It's perfect for the setting.More

We stayed at this hotel and ate here 2 nights. The first night was a Saturday and they had a large menu. My husband had a burger & fries and I had a chicken caesar wrap and fries. Both were very good. Service was quick...and friendly. O Monday night we ate here again. The menu was much smaller, not many options. My husband had chicken fingers and fries and honestly it looked and tasted like frozen food from the grocery store. I wanted something small so I had the roasted tomato soup. Again, it tasted like something from the grocery store, nothing special. I don't understand how one evening it was really good and another evening it was blah. Different cooks? I also got a slice of cheesecake on our last evening to take back to my room and eat. It was a small piece, nothing special and expensive for what it was. Did not seem like home-made. There are several restaurants in the Rosemont area, do yourself a favour and eat at one of those, save yourself the disappointment.More

Tried their club sandwich and chips. The club was not made the traditional way but the flavors were good. The sandwich was extremely dry and difficult to swallow. The chips were good. The facility and service was very good.
