Best Chinese/Korean/Thai restaurant in Chicagoland

Hands down the best restaurant in Chicago and suburbs for these cuisines. The menu is very extensive with the usual items (e,g, wonton/hot and sour soups; mongolian beef, sweet and sour, noodles, etc) but also a lot of less common items. The food is outstanding (the Peking Duck was excellent... read more

My youngest grandson loves noodles so one of his favorite places to eat is Chef Ping. We were immediately greeted and taken to a table. Within just a few minutes the server returned with our beverages and took our order. I ordered a chow mein dish with chicken, beef and shrimp and found it quite flavorful. My grandson ordered Pho... i've found chef ping to be consistently good. it's evidence by their place being packed constantly with long waits, this visit we had a 12pm sunday lunch rsvp, & upon arrival it appeared to already be about 80-90% packed. service was good, but on this visit unless others, the food came out slower than usual, not sure it was the... Went to lunch here today. Excellent service and atmosphere. It was packed but I got a seat at the bar. Had Hot and Sour Soup and Kung Pao Chicken. Excellent. Vegetables in the chicken dish were very fresh. Egg roll came with the meal. All this and less than $10. I will be back.

I must state Chef Ping's menu is diverse, and based upon the four meals our party had, mostly authentic. Prices are reasonable, and portions generous. Service was cheerful, prompt, and efficient. The actual serving of our four meals was less than ideal in that the time it took from receiving meal One...to the last Meal Four was over 15 minutes.... More

Their egg rolls are small but delicious. Their chicken lolipops are tasty, but the order is huge. Their Dragon and Phoenix is excellent as is their Young Chow Fried Rice.

This is my go to restaurant for good chinese comfort food. I never mind the long wait and always order the house made seafood noodle dish. Always have leftovers.

I lived near this place between 2010 and 2013. The first Chinese restaurant I tried in the area was Chef Ping. Usually Fried rice, Sesame Chicken and Kang Pao Chicken are my test items for Chinese restaurants. This place blew me away for all of these menu. Except for only one time (Maybe a different chef was cooking then?), I... More

First of all, they don't need my review. If you go there after 5 pm, you'll know how popular they are, and there's nothing I can say here that will dent their popularity. Still, I can say without a doubt that this is the best Chinese restaurant that I have ever been too. It is not just that they serve... More
