Menu is always changing depending on the season, since Abreo believes in using only the freshest local ingredients. Venue is unique and friendly. Sit in the bar area for more casual fine dining and in the main dining for a more romantic feel. Or, if the weather permits, sit on the area's coolest patio!!! Service is fantastic! My friends and... We were pleasantly surprised that everything we tried was so good, I really wanted to lick the plate after each course. We are native Rockfordians but lived in the San Francisco Bay Area & this restaurant surpasses any place we went to out there because in addition to good, locally sourced food, the staff was really friendly & attentive.

Staff is courteous, friendly and attentive. Beef Tenderloin, apple salad and raspberry crepes with caramel drizzled chocolate cake were perfect. Rockford has a really special gem here.

The food was tasty - we enjoyed it. However it wasn't the best meal I've ever had. We got the Roasted Eggplant plate, Butternut Pasta plate, and the French fries. All were good, no complaints except we did NOT like the white yogurt sauce that was dolloped on top of the eggplant. All were such small portions that you can... More

While mixed with positive and negative experiences during your visit, I do appreciate the feedback. My apologies for the misleading info on our website about the specials and 3 star experience. I have corrected our website thanks to your input. I am confident that when you return (hopefully sooner then later) you will have an experience that matches your (and... More

This was the best meal I've had outside of the city since moving to the suburbs of Chicago. The Goat Cheese Crostini, olives, and Yellow Fin tuna were all of superior quality. The butternut squash pasta was delicious, and my dining companions raved about both of the duck dishes on the menu. My favorite was the spicy peanut noodles...the spice... More

the small plates were very tasty, I loved the beet salad and the Barramundi was to die for! I'll be back next time I'm in town for business!

Chef Josh puts together some wonderfully-created and tasty dishes in an eclectic menu served by knowledgeable and efficient wait staff. I am not a downtown Rockford fan, but this place overrides my destination avoidance.

This menu promised SO much, but there was not one dish of the 4 things we tried that was not under-seasoned, unfortunately. Everything sort of came up bland, even though they should have been amazing from the descriptions. I don't mind paying for great food, but the food did not live up to the prices. I so wanted to root... More

This review is based on a one-time visit. So I told my wife we should go to Rockford. Rockford???? Then I talked about the gardens and restaurants. Based on the reviews, we selected Abreo for our first night. This is not just a restaurant, it is an experience. A very sound wine list, including by-the-glass offerings. We first ordered the... We were pleasantly surprised when we had dinner here recently. Had been here before when the restaurant had a slightly different name. The food is mainly farm to table and on our Tuesday evening visit was extremely well prepared and quite tasty. The menu is mainly small plates. We tried the Asian noodles, blue cheese flan (yummy), apple slaw, braised... More
