I went to thunder bay grille with my family and there is great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Even if my meal was to salty it still wouldve been a great place, but my meal was fabulous more
I took my daughter out for a special meal and although she enjoyed hers, my bouillebaise was WAY too salty and I could not eat more that one or two spoonfuls. she tasted and agreed. when I informed server, he said sorry but did not offer substitute. I had to pay for an inedible meal. more
Just had dinner with two colleagues at Thunder Bay Grille in Rockford, IL. The interior is lodge-like and there are many different types of rooms/atmospheres to enjoy from private booths to fieside dining. I stayed at the Courtyard Hotel in Rockford on business which is 30 seconds walk to Thunder Bay. I loved the rustic and wood cabin decor. Very quiet night, not too many patrons (Thursday Night). Very good steaks, quiet atmosphere, food is a bit expensive but worth the money. Delicious desserts. more
Don't expect Thunder Bay Grille to be a nice dinner out night. It is average, mediocre. I would choose Olive Garden over this place. Nice service though. I guess I am a snob. I ate outside with a group of friends and I thought it was kinda dirty, and a little hillbilly. more
