Nice decor. Best prime rib I've had in a very long time. Seafood pasta special also very good. Efficient and friendly service. A little pricey (not overly so) but look for 15% discount cards at local hotels -- or even ask your waiter for one. On my list for a return visit next time I'm in Rockford.

We came up to Rockford for a tennis tourney and decided first upon Red Lobster, but seeing the long line we turned around and found this place. The decor was pretty cool inside and it was very spacious. Our hostess and server were both very friendly. The menu I though would be primarily seafood but there was a wide variety.... More

You could make a great meal from the appetizer menu. Come with some friends and enjoy the atmosphere. Order several things from the menu and share. The Spicy Ahi Nachos are very good. The Ahi steak my friend had was good; although is zucchini a fresh vegetable when there is so much other good stuff at this time of year?

This place serves good food, is conveniently located, is very clean, and the prices are okay. That's the skinny. Last Friday we decided to go to Thunder Bay and try their fish fry. We try to find someplace new each week. We both ordered the same thing, the wild caught cod. We also wanted to try both the fried as... More

My wife and I ate at Thunder Bay and the meal was okay, but not great. Service was very quick, almost too quick. Server was friendly and attentive. Lots of food, lots of potatoes and gravy. It was okay, but nothing special.

In all of our trips to Rockford I have wanted to try this place, but it is usually crowded. Suffering jet lag fatigue we came here from our hotel and enjoyed delicious food in an unusual atmosphere. Had chop chop salad and it was delicious. Husband had the chop . Wish I had eaten the deserts which were shown but... More

A Friday night with a long road trip under our belts, and Thunder Bay Grille was closest to our hotel. We entered another world; a rustic hunting lodge on a huge scale. We were seated instantly, and our waitress gave us time to read the large menu. Superb salads and pasta made up our light dinner, but the extras(lovely biscuits... More

I usually stay at the Courtyard or Residence, so Thunder Bay is convenient. Food is pretty good, but service has always been excellent. Good selection of beers and the meatloaf is good.

Ate there 8/11. We ate early (5pm) and were seated immediately. This is a steak and seafood house situated in a lodge type environment - very nice. Our server (April) arrived immediately and took a drink order. I had a sample size of 4 different beers, including some local varieties. The menu is large and varied. Wife had a pasta... More

Food was amazing and heavenly, one of the best meals I've ever had. Service was great and the decor in the restaurant was very nice.
