Our waitress was very good but had to wait for our main entree. I think it was the cook not the waitress because she was very attentive. The salad was very small and didn't seem very fresh. The topping on our philly cheese steak was good but the meat tasted leftover. Maybe next time I would try the wood fired... More

We enjoyed the Stone Eagle Tavern's unique decor and historic artifacts, like an Eagle chair that was part of a bank robbed by J. Dillinger and pictures of famous people who have dined at the Stone Eagle. Food was very good, tenderloin steak done exactly as ordered, my Philly steak sandwich was good, I do prefer a little more cheese... More

We stopped here for the first time. Our waitress was good. She was polite and kept our glasses refilled. Some of the food was hit and miss. Although I'm sure there french fries came out fresh, to me they tasted like they were cooked and sat, then reheated. They just didn't taste quite right. My son enjoyed his pizza minus... More

In Rockford for one night and hotel staff recommended the Stone Eagle. I am glad they did. Friendly staff and management was right on the spot. Good food, not cheap, but not too expensive. Drinks were generous. Was a wonderful alternative to all the franchise restaurants out there.

We have eaten at the Hoffman Estates location and it's a favorite but this one is awful. Husband ordered meatloaf which came with mashed potatoes only! No veggie and no bread. I ordered a salad....again no bread with it. Had no taste and old greens. Son ordered fish, said it was fine but it too was NOT a meal. Tiny... More

We have gone to the Stone Eagle several times. Today's experience was very, very disappointing. Service was slow. Waitress did not tell us anything about daily specials. After we had our food a waitress at another table told her customers and we would have ordered one of them. I also asked for coffee with my meal. The waitress forgot. When... More

We were searching for a different restaurant in Rockford while stopping for the night. When we were unable to find our original destination, we opted for this gem! We had a fabulous meal and Andrew, our server, was attentive, personable, and knowledgable about the restaurants menu and and specialties. Thanks, Andrew! Hubby's Reuben sandwich was huge and excellent, my coconut... More

We love the selection of food. Great atmosphere and friendly place. Their brick oven pizzas are great.

Walked in and thought WoW Place to eat each night on my visit. Being on my own I was poked into corner and I should have taken copy War and Peace. Service terrible though did improve once I complained to manager. The waitresses were eye candy but I went there to eat. Tried the recommended Pizza but none of the... More
