We try to eat at local restaurants, not the chains when visiting a new city. So, we tried Aunt Mary's since it's been in Rockford for "ages." The staff was very friendly and quick which is a big plus! The food was priced reasonably and was Okey Dokey, not extraordinary, fine.

We stayed at the Alpine Inn. The second morning we decided to eat a full breakfast and noticed Aunt Mary's right across the street. It was an EASY run across the road. The menu was good. The service was fast and the cost was not too pricey.

Across the street from our motel. Service was very good and the food was above average. It was not very crowded for a Saturday at 6PM which was a concern, but once we got our food we were glad we came.

The food was good and reasonably priced. You can get breakfast all day long. :) I ran out of water and the waitress forgot to bring us our bill, but otherwise, it was a good experience.

This restaurant was across the street from our hotel so we went there for supper. Three meals out of four were very good. My dad had a T-bone steak. When the waitress set it down there was a smell in the air, no one wanted to say anything.Dad ate some, it was nasty. The waitress was very nice and very... More

Sit-down, served quickly and fresh waffle. Not sure about the "bakery" offerings in the display case at the register. When cheescake has the little papers separating each piece that tells me it's manufactured and sold to restaurants - not made on site. Our breakfast was good and reasonable tho.

We had great food and WONDERFUL service. My husband and I are big morning coffee drinkers and we began to think they were trying to drown us with coffee. I can not say enough about the great friendly service that we received.

Ewww. Please skip this one. The atmosphere is old diner. The food is inconsistent. The quiche was good, but the eggs and other foods were kind of yucky. It smelled like bathroom and cleaning agents. Clean isn't bad, but you want to smell food in a restaurant, not clean bathroom. There are plenty of other places in town to get... More

We had a great lunch! The food and service were great with individualized attention. We got there at the end of the lunch hour and had the place almost to ourselves. My friend ordered a Chicken Wrap and I had Tuna Salad on a croissant. Both were bountiful and tasty. The price was reasonable at $8.50, with a choice of... More

Although the service was friendly and attentive we expected more than a family restaurant style and food. There were seven of us and each one of us really didn't enjoy part of the food served - the tomato soup, french onion soup, were poor at best. The plate of appetizers were disappointing. Prices were reasonable but there was nothing other... More
