1st spot my college students trip home. No place like this! They even have STEAMED Broccoli as a side dish! So you can be as bad (fries & onion rings) or as good as you want (Veggie burger & steamed veggies)

This may be an above average fast food place, but that's basically what it is, so if you are looking for a place a little nicer when you get off the freeway, don't make the same mistake we did! Ranked the #7 restaurant in rockford? Drove out of our way to get there. Never been so disappointed in trip advisor.

There are serveral Beef A Roos in Rockford all with a different theme. I went to the one on S Alpine that is like a 50's dinner. You really feel like you stepped back in time and the burger was great

Beef and Cheddar! Everything is good! Fries are the best and so are the onion rings! It can get a little pricey but good food for sure!

We visit BAR all the time and enjoy everything. They have great onion rings and cheeseburgers and my favorite pork tenderloins. Shakes and chili as well. Cant go wrong at Beef A Roo.

Great quality and variety. Customer service is top notch. Fast food done right. I really like the details. Food isn't cooked until its ordered.

There is something almost addictive to the cheese fries here that makes me want to order them every time I go! The fries are crispy, not greasy, seasoned appropriately, not drowning in salt, and there is a good fry to cheese ratio. Check them out the next time you visit!

What a great place to take the kids for fast food, if you haven't tried beffARoo you don't live in Northern Illinois or you never eat fast food.

Favorit fast food for locals. Prices are higher than a normal chain but so is the quality. Food cooked to order, not sitting under a heater to kept warm. Would put the onion rings and fries up against any others. Rotate monthly sandwiches so you have something new to pick from. Their places are always clean.
