Thai Hut, small building, but very good food.

After driving by this place for years, we decided to give it a try. The building has been there forever, and it looks like a long John Silvers. We were there on a saturday evening, and had the place to ourselves. We ordered appetizer of Crab Rangoon, which was excellent. Then an order of... read more

We stopped by on our way through rockford based on tripadvisor reviews. This place is legit. The ambiance was really good. They know what they're doing when it comes to creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. It is modern with a strong Asian flair. They didn't skimp on the the decor which is very important to me when I go... More

We carry out dinner from the Thai Hut on Sandy Hollow on a regular basis. The staff is super and the food is consistently excellent. The trio flavor fish is my favorite, my husband always gets the shrimp with vegetables. They also let me special order a favorite salad dressing for their Thai hut salad. Other favorite are their soups,... More

Maybe I'm a food snob, but I was not impressed with my Thai chicken dish under the house specials section of the menu. I should have tried the curry. They told us in Thailand that if you see carrots in your food, then it's not legit Thai because they dont eat carrotts. My stir-fry had lots of carrotts. Just saying.... More

We just got some takeout (pad thai, fresh spring rolls, soups) but it was great. The service was great, it was priced appropriately and it was done exactly in the time they said it would be done. I really liked the peanut sauce for the spring rolls. I would eat it by itself! I probably won't be going through Rockford... More

This was our first visit to Thai Hut. We dined here on a Sunday evening at 6 p.m.. Upon entering, we were greeted and sat promptly. We were pleasantly surprised at the spacious dining room and full bar. The dining room had booths and tables as well a traditional Asian style booths where you sit cross legged on pillows...a sign... Went there for the first time and the food and service was 5 stars. It was the newer location off perryville and it is kind of hard to see from main road. Interior was clean with some nice wood carvings. Peanut sauce was excellent as was the house sauce. You get to choose hotness from 1-5. I chose 2 and... More

Stopped for dinner as it was listed as the #1 place to eat in Rockford on TripAdvisor - and for good reason. The food is delicious and perfectly prepared and presented. Very good service. Try the spring rolls and the pineapple fried rice served in a hollowed out, grilled pineapple shell. Portions are large and easy to share or take... More
