They do have good food. My wife, our son and I all ate there. Just a smidge on the high side for prices.

I've been coming to Cliffbreakers for years and over the last year the service and food quality have drastically improved. Today I had one of the best steaks I've had in a dining out experience! Keep it up Cliffbreakers. They're back!

We had heard Cliffbreakers had a new chef. He did not disappoint. The food was excellent. We enjoyed every bit of our meal and the service was great. This is one of the finest restaurants in the Rockford area. We cannot wait to return in spring to enjoy the beautiful view

My wife has steak and I salmon. Both dishes were cooked to our satisfaction and the quality was very good. The setting on the banks of the Rock River was romantic and beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive. The wine and liquor selection was very adequate.

The curb-view of the facility is poor - the landscaping is not maintained, there are weeds growing in the cracks of the lot - the sign had 'Congratulations' to a couple for some event but a few of the letters had fallen off and were on the ground. It was more pleasing inside - high ceilings, large center fountain, nice... More

For eight hours no Hot Water! How did they wash dishes? No WIFI! No Working Phones in any of the rooms, the only way to reach the front desk was to use your personal cell phone. Mold on walls, This place is falling apart! Now for the food! The prime Rib was tough and not cooked right at all! The... More

My hubby and I had a private booth which was cool. Our server was very personable and efficient. The food really was the best we've had anywhere in a long time. I have to admit, when I saw a bunch of prom kids entering, I thought the restaurant would be so busy that the food would suffer; but the quesadilla... More

Overlooking the River, Great Food, Good help. You can dress up or business casual and you feel like it is a very special night even if it is a regular evening. I love it there around sunset. You are looking east but it is really nice.

I have dined at Cliffbreakers six times and only had one decent meal. The food was usually delivered to my table cold and void of flavor. We went to their Easter brunch and of course the food was mostly cold. Old Country Buffet would have been better and less expensive.

The view is great, but the food is average at best. The restaurant is also not near much else in Rockford. I would give it a try - for brunch if anything, but this is definitely not a must see restaurant in Rockford
