Trucker Restaurant

The Iron Skillet is a typical "trucker stop." Buffet of lots of Carbs!! They also have a menu that you can order from. The food is okay but it's not a place to stop if you are in a hurry.

I paid for my food, yet the chef asked numerous times if I had paid, and then asked the waitress another time before I was handed my meal. What a way to treat a customer. The salad bar had brown lettuce, so I couldn't even make a decent salad. I'll never come back.

Went in for lunch, our waitress was low to greet us, slow to take our order, slow to refill drink glasses, and never did bring a To-Go cup after 15 minutes! The restaurant wasn't all that busy, but she sure didn't think he needed to put out that much energy in the middle of the day. Over Priced, Under Appreciated,... More

I had a flat tire on my tractor..I supposed to pick a load to get home by Christmas... Waiting for hours and hours.. The mechanics are paid by hours and they don't give a sh that you have a family. It is a shame.

I loved the Louisiana Whitefish. The half plate for $9.99 was still a huge piece of fish, with a side and a trip to the salad bar. My friend got the full plate for $11.99 which had two massive pieces of fish. My husband got the chicken strips, which turned out to be the best we've ever had. They were... More

Yes it's typical truck stop fair. But compared to it's peers it is a homerun. My friend had the morning buffet and it was fantastic. Had all the morning basic's as well as fresh fruit and some some southern style biscuits and gravy. I had a steerburger skillet and it was really good as well. But to me the most amazing... More

Nothing is outstanding, but the food was your average truck stop style. Prices are ok. Atomosphere is typical truck stop, nothing fancy.

The Iron Skillet is at a truck stop, so you get your typical greasy food, which is great if you're in the mood for it. Love to stop there on my way home from out of town, but it is not anything out of the ordinary. Portion sizes are good and the food is cooked well.
