Good Food & Reasonable Prices

Went here on an overnight stay in Quincy. A lot of things were closed on a Sunday night so there wasn't a lot of choices. The place had a nice, darker bar feel. The staff was friendly. Things were all carte and there were lots of sides to choose from. Hubby had a philly dip with fries which he... read more

The Abbey is a comfortable restaurant with a good menu selection. Steaks, burgers, fish and a variety of other dishes. The restaurant is generally busty but wait times are short if required. The food is always prompt and service is very good. It is a nice retreat for a good meal and drinks when in the Quincy IL area.

I recently made my first and last visit to the Abbey with my sister. Quincy is our hometown and the Abbey has long been a Quincy favorite, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the food was poor. I was very surprised. We ordered steaks, rare and medium-rare. They came well done. We sent them back. They came back... More

Had dinner and drinks. Beer selection was decent. Seemed like a lot of college students sere around the night I was there but still OK for families.

My wife and I had dinner at the Abbey last month on a Tuesday evening. We both ordered the chicken piccata. She had the small plate version, I had the full dinner version. Since the menu didn't describe it differently, we were both expecting the typical piccata presentation with an olive oil and white wine sauce with capers. What we... More

The atmosphere is very welcoming and provided an opportunity to watch a sporting event or talk with friends with equal enjoyment. The service at the bar, both food and beverage was exceptional. We chose sandwiches and beers on our visit and found all to be very good.

A friend had her rehearsal dinner here, her future husband was a regular to this restaurant when he was living in Quincy. I was impressed, the food was great & the drinks were awesome! Only issue I had was that it was quite crowded, I wouldn't recommend this for large groups. We were seated at different tables & booths, so... More

I was visiting my sister in Quincy and saw on the lighted marquee that the weekend special was stuffed ribeye with blue cheese mashed potatoes. From this I couldn't tell if the ribeye was stuffed with blue cheese, or the cheese was in the mashed potatoes, but either way sounded delicious. Unfortunately, the "stuffing" was onions, spinach, red peppers and... More

Arrived about 6:30 on a Sunday (in fact one of the people arrived a little after 6 p.m). I'd called & unbeknownst to me another person called at about 5 p.m. to make reservations for a table for 6 or 7 - they don't take reservations "but should be no problem" according to the person on the phone. Waited an... More

Very well prepared steak on special. Good cold beer and sports, what else can a traveling engineer require?
