...then don't go. Honestly that is the only reason I would think what they do is special. The pastries are mediocre at best. We've had a variety of their product brought in on several occasions, and it's always underwhelming. Not bad mind you...just average. There are better options in town. The actual building looks/smells like its the oldest bakery in... More

You will LOVE this bakery. Their angel food cupcakes have been made and savored for 100 years!!! Plus all their other goodies are made fresh right there.

They don't have the most friendly service, but they do have great bakery items, especially the pastries for breakfast and the mini angel food cakes that are iced with delicious frosting.

We stopped in a couple weeks ago to pick up a couple pastries. My wife loves the nut rolls, they were a favorite of her family for decades. I like the chocolate croissants. Hot or cold, you can't beat the chocolate goodness. Lent is coming, they have the best hot cross buns during Lent. Better order ahead if you want... More

My mother used to stop by Underbrinks when she was a student at Quincy University years ago. It hasn't changed since. The butter-streusel danishes are so good, it takes you back to those golden years when everything was made with TLC. Everything there is good and tastes like they were made by Grandma. So good. Get there early because the... More

This family-owned bakery is probably still in its original location in a home-like store front on College Street just a few blocks west of Quincy University. Step into the small shop and you are greeted by a wide array of pastries, strudels and breads. It is a feast for the eyes and the nose. I started at one end of... More

I love Underbrinks. I had heard about it but it took me two years after living in quincy to finally Try one f the little angel food cakes they have. I'm not a fan of angel food cake, buy there's come from a different world. It's so delicious. The frosty is just.....yum! The cake is moist and spongy.

Going to Underbrink's Bakery takes me back sixty years to when I used to come to Quincy with my aunt and uncle and stop at a bakery before we headed home to our bakery-less little town--the same smell, the same old cases, the same yummy treats. No one in Quincy should ever buy their pies, cakes or Danish from the... More

This place is a step back in time. The first thing that greets you is an old display case loaded with Danish and other baked goodies. Everything there is great. We like what our grandson calls chocolate breakfast. This is a Danish filled with dark chocolate. Another Danish they make is what is called the "Radio Roll". A must place... More
