Best Burger in Town

Stopped in for a late lunch / early dinner. We ordered the fried chicken po-boy and the Caribbean burger. Restaurant was slow (off time). Meal took awhile to come, but it was worth the wait!!! Both sandwiches were superb!!! Burger was cooked to order and was cooked perfectly. It was so juicy... read more

I have been here in the past to celebrate Mardi Gras when I can't be in New Orleans. The food is good, pretty authentic, but I find the price high. I would recommend, but consider it a place more for a special occasion than once a week type place.

The location on the main street of Plainfield (Lockport Street) makes this a wonderful spot to view special events and people watching. Drinks and appetizers are very good and moderately priced. If Cajun food js your thing, they have an amazing menu, although I'm not the person to ask about it. Of all the places offering a grandstand view of... More

Good place to go for some cajun style fixins. This place is as much bar as it is grill even though there is much room to eat. Be prepared to spend like you were in Naperville or Chicago vs. Plainfield. Good food, nice service, a bit pricey for the portions.

We stumbled upon Moe Joe's looking for something beside typical burgers on a Saturday afternoon - and had a great meal. We all picked Cajun-themed foods - which was a treat since we needed gluten-free and dairy-free allergy options (e.g., they grilled the alligator appetizer instead of deep-frying it). The teenage boys devoured the wild boar burgers. The rest of... More

Food and service was outstanding. The only negative is that they don't take reservations so the wait may be over an hour, but it's worth it.

We revisited Moe Joe's over the holiday season for drinks and were extremely disappointed. We sat at a table in the bar area. WE WERE COMPLETELY IGNORED! Although we tried, we could not gain the attention of the two female bartenders who were so self-absorbed, fully focused on flirting with their handful of male patrons seated at the bar. We... More

Service is extremely slow! Do not go here if you are in a hurry! Even if there is someone at the door to greet you or seat you (which usually there is not) you still wont see a waitress for a good 10 minutes after that! Try to have your entire order ready when someone does come! Food is ok,... More

I live in Plainfield and Moe Joe's is one of my families favorite restaurants. It has a fairly small dining room, but also has a nice bar area where you can eat, as well as outdoor seating in the summer. The food is very good and the portions are large. The service is sometimes a little slow when it is... More

One of the best cajun restaurants around the Chicagoland area! Everything I've had there has been very good! Love the gumbo and the selection of craft beers! Muffalatta is outstanding, and the best is their chips! Could eat those for days!
