tired of burgers...wanted something different

Was looking forward to a good corned beef sandwich that day, and i got more bread than i got corned beef. The HOT mustard was probably the best thing. Place was crowded, lunch time, so i expeted it. If you are looking for fresh German food, you need to stop in here. Large selection of German beer, good choice of food. The meal was very good, corned beef, loaded with sauerkraut, lots of side items to choose from. very glad I stopped in. Nice place.

Just actually got done with our meal. First I must say, our waitress was great! Great service! I got the jaeger schnitzel and my husband got a wurst combo plate, which included knack wurst, brat wurst and a smoked pork chop. His platter was excellent! It was served with sauerkraut, gravy and mashed potatoes. If I came again, I would... More

It can't have changed much over the years, which is very good. Classic German pork chops, brats, quests and schnitzels prepared just right. Lots of tasty sides true to the cuisine as well. The beer list is extensive with lots of the heartier brews. The decor is very Gorman as well with lots of memorabilia. Solid service but it gets... More

I regret I've never posted a review for this place; I've never had a bad meal here. Additionally the staff are all great folks and always add to the experience. And for the fellow that gave them a poor mark for being closed for vacation... Here's a tip, next time phone first ;-)

Was in the mood for 'something hearty, & decided on this place after reading a few of the reviews. I was not disappointed! Visited this eatery on a Thursday night & was promptly seated. They had a WIDE selection of brews on tap & decided on a Spaten Oktoberfest, good choice! Also had a bowl of their 'Soup of the... More

I have been to the Hofbrau several times and it always serves good food. I enjoy the Hofbrau because the restaurant has a good atmosphere and it is a good place to go eat. The pros of the restaurant are the selections of beers and german-style food. I really like the beers that they have on tap. Cons are the... More

I stopped by to check the place out for a few beers on the way to a dinner engagement. I kind of wished that I could have stayed here for dinner. The Hofbrau is easy to locate and right outside of town. Being a visitor, I had no problems finding it. The beer selection is very ethnic and was very... More

This restaurant is a must visit if you are a fan of German food and beer. I like the. Tucker beer. It's very mild! A lot of atmosphere in this tiny German restaurant. You can get your name on the wall when you have tried 100 beers I think!

went on Saturday for lunch, not much of a menu, all on a board behind bar maybe 1/2 dozen items, only one that could be considered a meal, Rippchen, boiled ribs, sauer kraut & mashed potatoes. very tasty and authentic german but I was hoping for some type of schnitzel and not American style wienerschnitzel (a stupid hot dog...wrong!) wait...
