Childers is a gem. The food is fresh and delicious. From the classics, to the innovative. Breakfast is one of the best in town, lunch is great, too. Service is also top notch. Locally-owned is icing on the cake! Not to be missed.

Our DD age 8 had some tests very run early in the morning, so we decided to head out for some breakfast as she had been a very good girl. We were seated at the table right behind the door not because the place was full, but because so many empty and dirty tables had yet to be cleaned. That... More

Had a really nice breakfast here on the way through town. Very pleasant environment and staff. Had the biscuits and gravy and have to say it was the best I can remember having.

Why go anywhere else for breakfast? They've got fresh squeezed juices, menu items like corned beef hash eggs Benedict, and produce plucked from their garden. Oh, did I mention the crazy, reasonable prices and that the food is delicious? If only I didn't live over five hours away!

We went for the first time about a month ago and were pleasantly surprised. Good breakfast spot and we wi definitely be back. My husband had the s'mores pancakes and loved them. I had an omelet and it was great. Good service.

First visit to Childers. Service was great. The food was hot and delicious. My son ordered the hot chocolate and it came with whipped cream and chocolate chips and a cherry. He was thrilled. My Belgian waffle was perfect and I asked for blueberries to accompany the waffle. They were fresh and plentiful. My son had the biscuits and gravy... More

I attended a banquet at Childers. I first want to say, that the food seemed old. The produce was moldy and tasted bad. Our service was excellent, however and we left an additional tip for the staff for all of their hard work. A week or so later, I saw one of the servers at the grocery store. I spoke... More

Fun breakfast spot! Very busy! Went with a large group (10 people) yet they accommodated us very nicely. Not good signage, easy to miss - keep an eye out when driving by! Food was delicious - I loved their Lemon with Berries breakfast! Typical breakfasts are available, but their more unique items are much more unusual than normal and way... More

Childer's offers lots of breakfast choices and even has one of my favorite meats which is Chorizo. I love their Choizo omelet and/ or the quesidilla w/ chorizo. Had not been there for a while but the service & food are always excellant. Never have to ask for coffee as they always make sure your cup is full. (Something that... More

It's hard to find a place for Sunday Brunch in Peoria. Thank goodness for Childers! They have delicious egg entrees (their omelets are the best), pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy...and a lunch menu in case you're not in the mood for breakfast. Even their oatmeal is good! My only gripe is with their coffee...it's obviously low quality and pretty weak.... More
