Worse place ever to eat and to be serviced. The least some waitress should do is welcome you in and greet you with their name and give you some time to look at the menu. At this place neither of the minimum was offered; 4 different weird waitresses kept bugging us with "are u ready to order?" The orange juice... More

The location is kind of run down, but nevertheless, this is our family's go-to breakfast spot in Park Ridge. Their is often a wait for tables, and even more likely there will be a wait for food. The food is decent (it's a pancake house, what do you expect?). No real complaints, but nothing to rave about either.

I normally think of the original Pancake House as a breakfast spot. I recently met with a friend for lunch. What a Great Lunch..two new items caught my eye. One was Ursula's Sauerkraut served with sausages and potatoes. The other was Ursula's Sauerkraut served with southern potatoes, like browned American fried potatoes with onions and a large slice of ham... More

The food was great, the services was fast and friendly and the manager even came to speak with us. (I had a coupon that he had never heard of) Very funny, friendly guy. Busy place and I can see why.

I have Mixed emotions on this. This may sound crabby. But it is actually a sad story of what looks like it used to be a nice place. I don't mind old and worn to some degree, as it can add to the charm of some places. But I do mind mis-managed, and dirty. Actually that is not correct as... More

I have forgotten just exactly when, but I think it has been at least ten years since I discovered this place. The variety of the menu -including favorites that I often couldn't find at other breakfast cafés and pancake restaurants- the quality of its food, and the generous portions were an attraction from the start. Over the years, I continued... More

There's a difference between classic and dated. This place is dated. The menu is tired and unimaginative. The furnishings are worn and tired. The menu is out of the 1960s. And I don't mean that as a compliment. If you have a nostalgie craving for mediocrity, by all means go here. Otherwise, there's a much better place for breakfast up... More

If you go on a Sunday around 10:30 or 11, expect at least an hour wait because this is the place is where EVERYONE goes after church. The pancakes are great, but don't try to go healthy because their other food isn't.

The food was very good, the menu is so varied and everyone can find something they like. We went on a weekday morning so there was no crowd. I used to live in Park Ridge and know that on weekends parking is at a premium and waiting in line for the restaurant is the norm. But people continue to do... More

We love going to the Original Pancake House. It's always been consistent! My girls love the kids menu and they are very generous with their proportions. Love the decorated Christmas tree in the middle of the place, changes with the seasons!
