Good comfort food

Friendly neighborhood diner, which serves good comfort food at a reasonable price. I had their Reuben sandwich and it was one of the better Reuben sandwiches I've had. Same goes with their cole slaw. The only average item was their fries. Other members of my family had ordered breakfast and they... read more

Apparently the waitress who served me didn't understand me. I asked for a hot turkey and a soup but I was served soup followed by a cold turkey sandwich. The misunderstanding was rectified and I did get what I ordered. Both the soup and the hot sandwich were good but not worth a 20 minute drive from my home.

If you want good food, friendly atmosphere at reasonable prices, this is the spot. Service is usually very good but can be slow during very busy times, But worth the wait.

We visit Lola every once in a while when we are in Chicago, usually for a family breakfast. The portions are large (usually one more egg than the menu says) and the ingredients are fresh. The gravy IS homemade (no Sysco) and the vegetables are not canned. The servers are very kind and play with our turbulent boys (2 and... More

I was so pleased to see that Lola's Diner had salads on their menu that actually had vegetables, too! Everything was fresh. I had the chili too and it was great! It is unique to find a diner that has food for someone who doesn't want to eat quintessential "diner food." Lola's service is awesome and they do a great... More

When you walk in to Lola's, you think that you are walking into a diner that is trapped in the late 50's - early 60's. The booths, the tables, the chairs, the counters, all contribute to that perception. The food is simply delicious comfort food. We came for dinner, so after going through the menu, we tried the country fried... More

Fun atmosphere in Park Ridge. Food was delicious, big portions, and on the inexpensive side. The only drawback is that it is a little out of the way. Definitely will come back again.

Lola's serves bountiful plates of delicious food. Our family favorite meal is breakfast there. Delicious omelettes, fluffy pancakes and always enough for the next day's breakfast left over. Prices are reasonable, service attentive.

What a hidden find for a diner. The decor is straight retro diner and the food is really good. Great value for your money and everything was so tasty. If you are searching the hinterlands for a food spot check this out, you will not regret.
