Good Ice Cream

Good ice cream & good service. Has a real home town feel. Why don't they open earlier than noon? Come on, DQ opens at 10:30am, why not open at least by 11am???

I took my grandson there and he loved it. Keep in mind he was one at the time and at one, you will eat anything. As an adult however, this was not good ice cream. It was a "wanna be" at best.

I like that it sits in the down town area. Ice cream places are few and far between. The order area is pretty small, a better "flow" would help. Always good service. Nice shaded area with tables outside. Decent price and the only ice cream down town.

Their menu has it all and their icecream treats are extensive. It's a bit disorganized and gets crowded in the small customer area. Mostly staffed by young teenagers.

The Dairy Hut is a wonderful small town ice cream shop. The tornadoes are awesome and my kids love the soft serve with sprinkles. The variety of different dipped cones and slushies make it stand out from the chain ice cream places. The outdoor seating is nice, but it is popular in the summer so expect to wait a little... More

This place is the perfect summer evening destination. On warm summer evenings, be prepared to stand in line for a little while. Paired with a romantic walk by the river, it makes a lovely date! The "ice cream" treats are comparable to Dairy Queen, and inexpensive! They have food items, but I've only ever had the chicken tenders. .

Been going to the Dairy Hut for many years. Good place to go after sporting events. Several trips after baseball games. Ice cream is very good.

I've been here multiple times for ice cream when they're open. It's your basic small town ice cream place, but very tasty. The workers appear to all be school aged kids, but it's nice to see them working. There's only outdoor seating, so if you're not into that then you'll have to sit in your car.

You don't "Live" in Oswego if you don't have ice cream at the Dairy Hut. The Dairy Hut has always been a favorite, but over the past three summers they have improved the service greatly and added improved outdoor seating, making the Dairy Hut a great place to visit on a warm summer night.

This place has been around for a long time, albeit under different ownership. They have outdoor seating which is nice during the summer. The only dislike is that all their ice cream if soft serve. So some of their items come out kind of melted and mushy because the soft serve starts out too soft to being with. Expect a... More
