I met friends for lunch but I had a veggie omelet. Lots of fresh veggies. I did have egg whites and some fruit and my breakfast cost me about $16.00 which is more than I would actually pay for breakfast. Keeping that in mind I would know what I would order next time because I would definitely return!

The food portions here are huge which I do not see a point too. Too much food means if you don't like something you've wasted a lot more and it also means if you want to try a few things you are stuck with way too much food. I'd rather pay less for a potion proper for breakfast. The 5... More

Great traditional American breakfast. The portions are huge, so consider getting things as sides rather than full meals! Quick, clean, good.

This is a decent place with good food but a limited menu. The food and service are very good and worth the stop. The waffles are good but any of the benedicts you need to ask for extra sauce.

My wife and I, along with friends attending a reunion weekend ate at this restaurant three times. Great food and service at a good price.

Everytime I come out to the Chicago area I eventually make it here for breakfast on one of the days of my trip. It doesn't take long to remember why either. When you order 2 eggs and hash browns you usually get 4 eggs and a few full sized potatoes cut up and fried for you. The place is always... More

The wait was a little long but this also beats IHOP for the service, amount of food and value. Try the skillets as they are awesome.

I went out for breakfast and thought I'd try the (new owners) Nevada Cafe on LaGrange Road in Mokena. I was seated promptly, but after not seeing a server for five minutes, I left and went to Lumes in front of Lincoln-Way East High School. I was seated promptly and had water within 15 seconds. (Seriously). Then I waited for... More

The title is corny but the food and family atmosphere is not. We have three Lumes in the Orland Park, IL area. The oldest (original) in Palos Park, newest in south Frankfort and the one we frequent here in Orland Park. From what I understand the three locations are family owned and operated. The people are always friendly and take... More

Always busy, with a large menu, Lumes in Palos Heights is the place to go if you are really hungry. They do a large family business and serve lunch also.
