Went for a quick bite to eat. There are a lot of tv's so you can watch a game. Service was very good, food came out quickly. I had a blackened catfish poorboy with tater tots. Very good. There are also many craft beers on tap. I would recommend you try. I would go back.

this is part of the carleton hotel, where i stay in oak park. it opens at 8 for breakfast and the choices run from simple to elegant. can't think of what you might want that's not on the menu. i've had lunch and felt the same. sometimes just a bowl of great soup and sometimes a nice burger and fries.... Wonderful change of pace in dining complete with multiple lunch and dinner choices of seafood and fresh oysters. Ther's popcorn at the bar, multiple tvs, and a whole lot of different people watching in this diverse town

Good pub seafood. Love the mussels and fresh oysters. Service is a bit variable; most servers are great but have had one or two disappointments over the years. The reason to go is the extensive beer list. You can sample most. Discovered some real gems. And the Chicago Film Festival posters in the ladies room are noteworthy....

Poor Phil's is a restaurant that is one block from where we live and you would think we would be there often. Not the case. We go there when we have grandchildren visiting us because they like the popcorn you get as soon as you sit down. The bar is nice, casual, and filled with local nearby apartment dwellers. There... This smallish cafe is located off the lobby of the Carleton Oak Park. I had a very good breakfast there. Service was fast, waitstaff was laid back, but in a good way. Portions were generous. Coffee was typical American (on the weak side). The menu was cute and there were many different types of breakfasts on offer: American, Continental, Tex/Mex.

Not creative, but certainly fresh. The restaurant was obviously getting on board with healthier fare with offerings of fresh broccoli, sweet potatoes both mashed and fried, and grilled fish tacos. It was certainly acceptable but nothing to write home about.

Used to be a favorite of mine, and up until a couple years ago would have rated a "5". Service can be spotty. Service used to be fantastic. I don't know what happened. Food is average, with some nice seafood options.
