Had breakfast here a couple of days. Service was prompt and the food was very good. Kept my coffee cup full and filled up a to go cup for when I was leaving. Located as part of the Carelton Hotel.

Wonderful change of pace in dining complete with multiple lunch and dinner choices of seafood and fresh oysters. Ther's popcorn at the bar, multiple tvs, and a whole lot of different people watching in this diverse town

Good pub seafood. Love the mussels and fresh oysters. Service is a bit variable; most servers are great but have had one or two disappointments over the years. The reason to go is the extensive beer list. You can sample most. Discovered some real gems. And the Chicago Film Festival posters in the ladies room are noteworthy....

Poor Phil's is a restaurant that is one block from where we live and you would think we would be there often. Not the case. We go there when we have grandchildren visiting us because they like the popcorn you get as soon as you sit down. The bar is nice, casual, and filled with local nearby apartment dwellers. There... This smallish cafe is located off the lobby of the Carleton Oak Park. I had a very good breakfast there. Service was fast, waitstaff was laid back, but in a good way. Portions were generous. Coffee was typical American (on the weak side). The menu was cute and there were many different types of breakfasts on offer: American, Continental, Tex/Mex.

Not creative, but certainly fresh. The restaurant was obviously getting on board with healthier fare with offerings of fresh broccoli, sweet potatoes both mashed and fried, and grilled fish tacos. It was certainly acceptable but nothing to write home about.

Used to be a favorite of mine, and up until a couple years ago would have rated a "5". Service can be spotty. Service used to be fantastic. I don't know what happened. Food is average, with some nice seafood options.

Staying at the Carleton, we stopped in and had breakfast. Food was better than anticipated and quite good. Eggs Benedict and the standard breakfast were tasty. Later in the day we enjoyed a plate of oysters on the half shell. They were fresh and tasty. Not a bad little local pub.

The one staff member at breakfast worked his tail off, but he sure could have used some help. The food was fine but the lack of waitstaff made for an unpleasant experience.

Eleven of us came here after an evening out. Parking was nearby. Aside from being very warm in there (September has been wonderfully cool but they hadn’t gotten the temperature right that night), it was a fun, high-energy place to hang for a few drinks and appetizers before calling it a night. The beer selection is amazing and they have... More
